Participanton http://www.weltladen-akademie.de/termine/eintragen/add I used to have a submission page for community events. Now this page is gone and I get an error message. I can’t seem to retrieve the page.
Is the submission page being created by default by the plugin?
If so, does it show up in the pages list?
Could it be that somebody from the team accidentally deleted that page, assuming it might be left over from testing?
How can I recreate it?
Thanks!

ParticipantOk, quick update: I found out that it must have to do with the links. I had set the slugs to http://www.weltladen-akademie/termine/eintragen/hinzufuegen (instead of the english “add”) and this seems to have caused the error. Can this be due to the recent updates?

ParticipantHey Markus,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
We did have an update with the recent release that allowed for those page slugs to be translated if the site had a different translation. You can find the direct link to those pages by hovering over the “Events” tab within your admin bar at the top of the site and clicking on the Community Events: Submit Event link. That will give you the full, updated URL.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantThat helped – and I had already discovered those links in the admin bar.
I am just wondering how the original link could be lost / destroyed. Unfortunately I didn’t note down how I had things set before the update. But I assume I already had the german translation in place since it would have disturbed the audience of the site if the link would have been in english. Then the update must have expected the english version (with “add” after the last / instead of the german “hinzufuegen”) and thus caused the error. Is that a realistic assumption? I would like to understand what was going on.September 8, 2015 at 9:28 pm #1003138Josh
ParticipantHey Markus,
Thanks for following up.
I’m not sure I’m following your question here. I don’t believe we had any previous translation support for those URLs. The update would actually now be expecting the german translation rather than formerly being the “community/add” that it was before.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi,
I have had the same thing happen to my site since the update. Though mine does not involve translating to a different language. The plugin worked very well prior to the new release and update (There was even a glimpse of it immediately following the update). But, I am not sure of what has happened to the page at this point.
I poured over the forum last night, but to no avail. I have checked to verify permalinks were correct and verified that I had the correct URL Slugs set. Still, When I try viewing the Community Events submission form, I get a 404 page error.

ParticipantI’m having the same issue with Community Events on this site: http://www.grnow.com/events/community/add
No translation factor. Worked fine prior to the update and now no joy. Tried reinstalling and a host of other things to troubleshoot. Happy to share whatever info is required in order to get this up again. Thanks.

ParticipantHey,
Would you guys mind opening new threads in the forum? This will allow us to answer each of your questions directly and fully. Similar issues can have a wide variety of causes and solutions and since both of your issues are different from our original poster here, we don’t want to bombard Markus with a bunch of emails that aren’t related to his problem here.
Additionally it looks like both of your sites are experiencing different issues at the moment with one persons page going to a 4o4 and another showing a PHP error.
So, please open a new thread for each of your questions and we’ll be happy to work through these issues directly.
Thanks!
