ParticipantHi:
When I create an event, the thumbnail for the Event does not appear when a user adds to cart or during the checkout process.
It comes up as the blank default image.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

ParticipantHey Joseph,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I just tested this out with our latest versions and wasn’t able to recreate the issue. When setting the featured image, are you adding the image you would like to see for the ticket as the product image on the new ticket product that gets created within “Products” section under WooCommerce or are you adding it as the featured image for the event?
Thanks!

ParticipantJosh:
Thanks! I was adding the Featured Image to the Event and not the “Ticket” under Products. That resolved it.
Two additional quick questions. Hope that’s okay. I can create a new topic if that helps.
– The featured image on the event page. Is there a way to control the size of that other than resizing the image itself? I have a large scale image being used in other areas of the site that I want to repurpose for the event page
– Is there a way to remove the “Back to events” link? Thanks again! Very helpful.

ParticipantHey Joseph,
No problem! Happy to help.
For your additional questions, you can accomplish both by following our Themer’s Guide and copying the “single-event.php” file from the core plugin and into a “tribe-events” folder within your theme:
- You can find the “tribe_event_featured_image” function on that page and see that it is currently pulling the “full” image. You can replace that “full” with any other pre-defined image sizes set by WordPress or your theme.
- You can remove the entire “tribe-events-back” block from the template to get rid of that link.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
