ParticipantHi Javier,
Can you please post a URL to the website where you are having this problem so I can see what’s going on? It’s probably some javascript error but I won’t know what exactly until I can look at the website.
Thanks,

ParticipantHey CC,
You can totally do this, you just need to pass in start_date/end_date parameters to the query. Take a look at the second example for our tribe_get_events() function: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/the-events-calendar-template-tags-general-functions/#functiontribe_get_events
That should give you what you need but let me know if you need anything else.

ParticipantHi Marc,
After troubleshooting this more I’ve come to the conclusion that the Facebook AWD All in One plugin is the culprit. After deactivating all plugins and reactivating the Community Events and events plugins and then activating plugins one by one, the Facebook AWD All in One triggers the error. You’ll need to take it up with that plugin author to resolve the issue or use a different plugin for that functionality.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

JonahJonah
ParticipantHi Todd,
I just logged into your site and noticed you are running an older version of Events Calendar Pro. Please first upgrade to v2.0.6 and see if that helps.
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Scott, we noticed that it looked like you switched your theme and the submit event form is looking good. Is this issue resolved?
May 11, 2012 at 11:05 am in reply to: Events Calendar Pro – when activated the calendar loading jus times out #19040Jonah
ParticipantHi Ngaire,
I’ve taken another look at this and it does appear to be a problem with our Pro plugin but I was told by one of the developers that it could also be a server issue or an issue with WordPress in general when there are so many posts (2724 events and almost 500 regular posts)… Unfortunately I don’t have a solution for you other than to not run Pro if you want to use the calendar at this point. Or, try to reduce the number of event posts (and regular posts) you have overall.
The calendar seems to load fine with Pro deactivated. We do have some tickets to work on optimizing code and queries overall to improve performance but we also need to take a look at instances where there are hundreds or thousands of events and why the Pro plugin is choking or causing WordPress to choke.
That’s about all I can say or offer at this point. If you have any questions, please let me know and trust that we will work hard to get this resolved ASAP.

ParticipantHi Joell/Ruth,
Sorry about the delay on this. I’m taking a look at it again and I see it doesn’t seem to be related to the country because now when I’ve got a country selected, the ticket does not get sent to EB even after saving over and over again…
I’m wondering if there’s a plugin/theme conflict going on. Can you try deactivating all other plugins to see this is this has any effect? If that doesn’t do anything, can you try switching to another theme? I know, it’s not an ideal process but these are the steps we need to take to troubleshoot. I’m happy to do it myself if you give me the go ahead. Maybe you could even setup a dev copy of the site?
Let me know how you want to proceed.
Thanks,
JonahJonah
ParticipantHi Shauna,
It looks like your events are all listed in the right order to me. Am I missing something?
On the list/calendar setting, I’ve fixed this. You needed to have your permalinks set to %postname% and then the link in your menu set to /events/ – it’s working as it should now. That permalink setting will actually be a lot better for SEO anyway.

ParticipantHi Stephan, we’ve got an FAQ and accompanying screencast that explains what and how to do this: https://theeventscalendar.com/faq/can-i-change-the-language-that-the-content-of-my-calendar-appears-in-on-the-site/
I hope that helps!

ParticipantHi David,
We don’t have a solution for this but another user in a thread contributed a possible solution: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/reoccuring-event-shows-multiple-times-in-loop/
Maybe that will help?

ParticipantHi Ken, unfortunately we don’t have this yet. We’ll put it together at some point and share it on the website but for now you’ll have to come up with your own.

ParticipantHi ngaire,
I was able to recreate the issue. Right after I activated Pro I could not load the calendar. The only thing I can think of is that one, it is a lack of memory allocated for your website on the server. Or two, there is a conflict with another plugin which you have a lot of plugins installed that could potentially be causing issues. The first thing I would need to do is deactivate all other plugins on the website to verify for myself that there is no conflict and the issue it still there. The second thing I would need to do (if the first thing doesn’t work) is see how much memory is allocated for the website and try to bump this up.
UPDATE: while typing this out the calendar did finally load so the plugin is working, just very slow and I don’t think this is actually the plugin that’s the problem. I think it’s either your web host or other plugins that are slowing things down. So, I’ve got to try one of the two things above with your permission and at a time that is allowable for your website to potentially be down while I’m troubleshooting.
It may be a good idea to setup a development copy of the website so we can test things like this without affecting the live site.
Let me know how you’d like to proceed.
Thanks,
Jonah -
