MemberI think I’ve tried everything and really need help. First, my events do not appear in date order on my website, they always appear in the order it was posted so I always have to change the date that it was posted in order for the events to show up in date order on the website. On my admin page the order is fine though. The other issue I have is that my view is set to the default calendar view instead of list, but it still shows up as the list on the website. PLEASE PLEASE someone help!!!

ParticipantHi Shauna,
Sorry to hear about the troubles. Try flushing your permalinks by visiting Settings > Permalinks and let me know whether or not that helps.
Cheers,

MemberJonah, I apologize in advance I am an extreme newbie so please bare with me. How do I Flush the permalinks?
May 9, 2012 at 10:51 am #18942Jonah
ParticipantHi Shauna,
No problem. You just go to Settings > Permalinks and that will actually flush them automatically – no further action needed.
Did that work?

MemberNo it didn’t.

ParticipantOk the next thing I need you to try is to deactivate all other plugins to see if there is a plugin conflict. If after deactivating all other plugins and it works, then you know it’s a plugin conflict and you can then reactivate plugin by plugin to determine the culprit.
Let me know if that works.

MemberThat did not work either.

ParticipantHi Shauna, got the email for the access but you didn’t provide the URL to your website. What is it?

ParticipantHi Shauna,
It looks like your events are all listed in the right order to me. Am I missing something?
On the list/calendar setting, I’ve fixed this. You needed to have your permalinks set to %postname% and then the link in your menu set to /events/ – it’s working as it should now. That permalink setting will actually be a lot better for SEO anyway.
