Hi Andras,
Thanks for the advice! I ended up find the code that was causing this issue – it was in the single-venue.php file.
integrityParticipantHi Andras,
I attempted to follow your instructions but had no luck. First I commented out the entire file and the button still did not work. I then tried to comment function by function and this did not work either. Is there any else I could try?
integrityParticipantHi Andras,
I followed this guide to troubleshoot the issue and found that the theme is causing the issue. I switched to the Twenty Sixteen theme and disabled all plugins except for The Event Calendar plugins then the Next Button began working as expected. I then reactivated all the plugins and still saw the Next Button was functioning correctly. Any suggestions on how to identify the conflict between the theme and the plugin that’s causing this issue?
integrityParticipantI was able to resolve the initial issue locally. Turns out there was an override in functions.php preventing the filtering. Everything is resolved locally, but I have a new issue when in production – the event taxonomy dropdown opens and allows me to click a taxonomy, but won’t allow me to save it. When I click “save” it just reverts to empty. There are no JS errors in the console. Any thoughts on that?

integrityParticipantHere is the page where we are trying to set the taxonomy on the widget: https://explorestlouis.com/discover/outdoor-adventures-st-louis/
The taxonomy is an Event Category called “Outdoor Recreation.”
I have tested for plugin/theme conflicts but following the usual steps, but am still unable to have the taxonomy set.

It will simply load indefinitely.

I have gone through the guide, eliminating any plugin and/or theme conflicts.
The requested screenshot is attached.

I’ve attached a screenshot detailing the recurrence rules for the “Something Rotten” event for your testing purposes.

I was able to fix this issue by modifying a line in the recurrence template in the community events plugin
Modified
if ( empty( $_POST['recurrence'] ) ) { Tribe__Events__Pro__Recurrence__Meta::output_recurrence_json_data( $post_id, $_POST['recurrence'] ); }
Original
if ( ! empty( $_POST['recurrence'] ) ) { Tribe__Events__Pro__Recurrence__Meta::output_recurrence_json_data( $post_id, $_POST['recurrence'] ); }
It seems the value wasn’t being set in the template due to a logic error.

We’ve also checked for any PHP errors indicating deprecation or the like Again, only recurrence is being effected.

integrityParticipantAlso, to be clear, events do NOT duplicate if the admin remains on the page until the plugin finishes updating recurrence. The issue is only when the user navigates away while the process is taking place, despite the message saying it is safe to navigate away
