    Hey there,

Sure thing! You can snag a copy of any order invoice by logging into this site and heading to My Account. Here’s an overview of the options available printing it out.

    Cheers!

    Hi Robert,

Good question — I think the best way to go about clearing out a large number of posts would be the Bulk Delete plugin. The Events Calendar (and Community Events) does not include a bulk delete option outside of what WordPress offers by default, so this would be the next best way.

Sadly, setting posts to auto-expire is also not a support feature. However, I have used this plugin before and it is a nice way to add an expiration date to a post, which will then pull it off the site.

Will these work for you? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi Peter — nice to see you again and hope all is well!

Good question. Right now, events are exported like any other post via the WordPress Export Tool (Tools > Export).

That will export events in XML format. There are a number of XML to CSV converters online that might be able to do the lifting from there and I’d suggest giving one of those a try. Here’s one that seemed to do the trick when I gave it a quick test.

    Cheers!

    Hi David,

Sorry for the trouble here! That’s certainly bad messaging on our part and I’d be happy to help clarify things.

First off, we’re currently in the process of phasing out support for WooCommerce Tickets. The Events Calendar 4.0 has mostly dropped support for it, while we have transitioned all ticketing functionality to Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus.

If you are using the latest version of The Events Calendar, then I would suggest deactivating WooCommerce Tickets and installing Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus in it’s place. That will offer the same WooCommerce functionality you are looking for and ensure all the plugins are at their latest versions.

You also have the option of not installing The Events Calendar. Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus integrate with The Events Calendar but can function without it. That gives you the ability to forgo The Events Calendar altogether if you’re just looking for the ability to create tickets and sell them on any page or post.

We have a detailed post on how to make the transition from WooCommerce Tickets to Event Tickets Plus that you may find helpful as well.

Does this help clear things up? Let me know if you have any other questions here about the move to Event Tickets and I’d be happy to help.

    Thanks!

Thanks for testing that out, MD!

Well, The Events Calendar does use a Javascript library for dropdowns that is pretty commonly used by other developers, so I wonder if the theme includes a function of perhaps something in its Javascript that is affecting the plugin’s use of it as well.

Would you be able to reach out to the theme developer to see if they can shed some light on it? Let them know that the issue does not crop up in a default WordPress install and that we’re trying to figure out what might be included in the theme that would have an impact there.

I’ll leave this thread open in the meantime so I can help answer any questions on this end.

    Thanks!

Oh sorry, I missed that in the last reply–thanks for the reminder!

I noticed that there is a sidebar on the submission page. Are you using the default event template or another page template? If you’re using another page template, which one and are there any other customizations in place you might be able to think of?

The reason I ask is that I’ve been testing in the same conditions (Twenty Sixteen, no other plugins installed) and have toggled between the default event template and the theme’s default page template without being able to replicate the issue. That suggests there is still something different between our sites and I’m hoping this will help us pin down what that is.

Another thing that might help is seeing the System Information for the test site. If you could head to Events > Settings > Help, copy the information at the bottom of the screen and paste it here (as a private reply), I’d certainly appreciate it!

Thanks so much for your patience while we work on this together.

Awesome, so glad that helped! Thanks for following up to let me know. 🙂

There are actually no settings for the email other than including a header image for the ticket when creating it. However, you can customize the email template itself by overriding it and our Themer’s Guide is a good place to start with template overrides. Specifically, you will want to override the template located at /plugins/event-tickets/src/views/email.php.

Did you have any other questions about the ticketing form and creating tickets I can help with? Please let me know.

    Thanks!

Awesome! I’m so glad to hear the issue seems to have worked itself out — caching could definitely be at play, so hopefully this sort of thing won’t be popping up on a regular basis. I’ll leave this thread open for now in case it does and then we can go from there.

Thanks so much for following up!

Hi Geoff, thanks for following up!

The screenshot you shared of the ticket settings shows that the ticket is set to go on sale on March 25. Until then, the ticket form will not be displayed because there are technically no tickets for sale.

You can, however, change the start date to today and the ticket will be displayed as normal.

Does this make sense? Please let me know if I can help clarify and I’d be happy to.

    Cheers!

    Hey MD,

That helps a lot! Still, though, I’m unable to create the same issue when no defaults are selected in the Community Events settings. Here’s a screenshot of my Community Events default content settings and the resulting screenshot in the Community Events submission form.

That doesn’t mean this isn’t an issue–only that we need to dig a little deeper to see why that would be happening. Ultimately, we’re going to need to test for conflicts, so if you could follow the troubleshooting steps and let me know if you notice a difference when the site is in default conditions (as my tests are), then we can start pinpointing where the difference is.

    Thanks!

    Hi Whitney,

Absolutely! Each event has an “add to calendar” feature that would allow your visitors to click and add the event to a calendar application. Here’s a good example of that in action–you can see the “Add to Google Calendar” and “iCal Export” options.

You will also notice a map in that example as well. The Events Calendar allows you to enable Google Maps for any event with a valid location, which visitors can then use to get driving directions.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hey Jenn and thanks for getting in touch! I do hope we see an application for the PRO license — definitely sounds like a possible fit for the program.

Good question. We do not offer a plugin that creates forms for events. I would think Gravity Forms would be a solid fit. Or, if you’d prefer a non-plugin solution, Wufoo is a nice alternative for embedding forms on a page.

Does this help answer your question? Let me know if you need any other information and I’d be happy to help as best I can. 🙂

    Cheers,
    Geoff
