Participantlukatabako,
Thanks for getting in touch! Unfortunately, our plugins are not 100% compatible with WPML, which is why you’re experiencing issues like this. Because of this, Iβm afraid that at this time, we cannot offer support where there is a problem caused by WPML. We are aware that there is a lot of demand for better integration between the two and both our team and the WPML crew are prepared to make improvements here β but right at this time thereβs not much weβre going to be able to offer, regrettably.I would suggest reaching out to the WPML support team to see if they can help further. Thanks! π

May 28, 2014 at 6:40 am in reply to: Adding "organizer" to required field filter prevents it from being saved #183770Casey
Participantpickleshy,
Thanks for reaching out here. The tutorial does list all possible fields to include, but includes a note about needing further code to successfully validate the organizer and venue fields (screenshot), since those fields are more complex. As stated at the of top of this tutorial (screenshot), it’s just designed to serve as a starting place and not be a complete solution.Hopefully that helps to answer your questions, but let me know if I can clarify further. Thanks! π

ParticipantLuis,
By default, the list view uses the Medium image size that you’ve defined in ‘Settings->Media’ (screenshot). You can change the dimensions of the Medium-sized image on that page, but you’ll need to regenerate your thumbnails in order to properly see the changes afterwards. This third-party plugin is one of my favorites for regenerating your WordPress thumbnails.Give that a try and let me know if that solves the problem. Thanks! π

ParticipantBen,
Sorry for not making that more clear. I’ll make sure to update that guide to be a bit more clear for future users. You should be able to add that code to your theme’s functions.php file, but let me know if you’re still unable to get it working. Thanks! π-Casey-

ParticipantSorry to hear you’re still having issues. Let’s try to tackle these one at a time.
As for the login issue I canβt even get to the login page β try it and you will see what I mean β it just redirects me back to my home page. Help!
I’m able to see your login page at this URL with no issues: http://groveland.org/newsite/wp-login.php Is that the URL that you were attempting to access? Try logging in there and let me know if you’re still having problems.
what about the calendar not switching views?
Can you try temporarily reverting to the default 2013 theme to see if this issue persists? I suspect that this is an issue with your theme, but just want to narrow it down a bit before troubleshooting further. Thanks! π

Participantfuninjerusalem,
Yes, that will remove the end time for all events. However, upon further investigation, I’m seeing the end time removed in my default environment. It looks like you’ve created some template overrides, which I suspect are the culprit (see here: http://www.funinjerusalem.com/wp-content/themes/fij-theme/tribe-events/). Try temporarily disabling your template overrides by renaming the ‘tribe-events’ folder to something else and see if that resolves the issue. If that fixes the end time issue, then you’ll want to compare your ‘list/content.php’ file with the latest version in the plugin directory to make the necessary changes.
Hopefully that gets you pointed in the right direction, but let me know if you have further questions. Thanks! π

Participantphilofauna,
Can you share your entire functions.php using a site like pastebin.com, so I can investigate further? Thanks! π-Casey-

Participantitchybrain,
Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you’re having trouble here, but hopefully I can help. Can you visit the Permalink Settings page, confirm everything there is correct and hit update? That might help to refresh to rewrite rules table. With that done, see if the page is accessible as expected, and let me know if have further questions.wswebstuff,
If your issue is the same as the above please do feel free to monitor this thread, but if you need assistance for your own specific scenario it would be great if you could create a fresh thread of your own. Thanks! Thanks! π

May 27, 2014 at 6:51 am in reply to: Community form: need excerpt, how to add instructions to users #180914Casey
ParticipantRegina,
Thanks for reaching out! Regarding your first question:1. FRONT END COMMUNITY FORM / EXCERPT
Unfortunately, it’s not currently possible to add an excerpt field to the Community Submission form. However, the List View displays the excerpt by default (which is created by WordPress automatically from the full description). If the automatic excerpt is still too long for you, then you can customize the length by following the instructions in the WordPress Codex (link).
Is there a way to add instructions to the front end community form?
Yes! You can do this by following this tutorial: https://theeventscalendar.com/add-html-above-community-events-submission-form/ You’ll definitely want to customize the HTML message to suit your needs, but that should do the trick for you.
Please review my responses above and let me know if you have further questions. Thanks! π

Participantcweeds,
Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you’re having trouble here, but hopefully I can help. This is a result of our responsive functionality that we rolled out in version 3.5. If the container that your events display in is less than 768px, then the responsive views will kick in. If you’d like to customize the mobile breakpoint to be something smaller than 768, or disable the responsive view altogether, then take a look at the ‘Responsive Templates’ section in our themer’s guide. This will show you how to customize the breakpoint, or disable responsiveness completely.Give that a try and let me know if that fixes the issue for you. Thanks! π

ParticipantBen,
Thanks for reaching out! It looks like the Tribe Bar is switching over to mobile view, because the container it’s in is less than 768px in width. You should be able to modify this by changing the breakpoint at which the responsive views kick in. Take a look at the responsive section in our themer’s guide, which should show you how to customize the mobile breakpoint.Give that a try and let me know if that fixes the problem. Thanks! π
