ParticipantYou are correct. It does appear to be a theme issue which is a bit confusing seeing as how this theme utilizes the Event Calendar plugin in itβs live demo. The theme which weβre using is titled βPolitical Pressβ in case that helps. What are your suggestions?
It appears that this theme is using some out of date template overrides here: http://www.chip.dreamhosters.com/wp-content/themes/political-press-theme/tribe-events/ I would suggest that you reach out to the theme developer and get them to update the template overrides to the latest versions.
Thanks! π

Participantirishrunner16,
sorry to hear you’re having trouble here, but hopefully I can help. Just to confirm, did you also increase the memory limit available to WordPress by adding a line similar to this to your wp-config.php?
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '96M' );
If not, try that and let me know if that does the trick. Thanks! π

Participantallsaintsyouthministry,
Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you’re having trouble here, but hopefully I can help. In my environment, I’m using the 2013 theme with the latest version of Firefox and not seeing this particular issue (screenshot). With that being said, a quick Google search turned up this article, which suggests adding the following to your CSS to disable the input spinners in Firefox:
input[type=number] {
-moz-appearance:textfield;
}
Give that a shot and see if that does the trick. Thanks! π

Participantcalgarymagic,
Thanks for getting in touch! The Ticketing add-ons hook into the ‘tribe_events_single_event_after_the_meta’ action, so your tickets will display wherever you move that PHP to. Try moving that around and see if that does the trick. Thanks! π-Casey-

Participantdanareeves,
Can you try temporarily reverting to the default 2013 theme to see if this issue persists? I suspect that this is an issue with your theme, but just want to narrow it down a bit before troubleshooting further.Thanks! π

Participantjamespbresnahan,
Thanks for getting in touch! The basic issue is that your theme doesn’t properly use the ‘before_widget’ parameter when registering the widget sidebar, and so the appropriate CSS classes aren’t being added by WordPress. Take a look at @brook’s reply on this thread for some more context and let me know if you have further questions.Thanks! π

Participantfccilm,
So sorry I closed the previous thread! I mistakenly thought you had resolved the problem. For troubleshooting issues such as these, we always require our customers to switch to the default 2013 theme, and deactivate all non-Tribe plugins in order to verify that there are no theme or plugin conflicts (read here for more info).Can you give that a try (switching your theme and deactivating plugins) and let me know if the issue persists? Thanks! π

Participantfarandwild,
Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you’re having trouble here, but hopefully I can help. With version 3.6, we’ve changed the list widget template files, and as such, you’ll have to update your customizations as well. Take a look at this blog post, which outlines some of the major changes with our latest release: https://theeventscalendar.com/the-events-calendarpro-3-6-changes-you-should-be-aware-of/Hope that helps, but let me know if you have further questions. Thanks! π

Participantindrakubicek,
Unfortunately, due to our limited support resources, we’re unable to help with site-specific customizations like this. We can generally point you in the right direction with regards to getting started with a customization (like I did above), but from there you’ll have to troubleshoot things on your own.Again, sorry I can’t be of further help here, but good luck and thanks! π

ParticipantPeter & Carrier,
Thanks for getting in touch! Unfortunately our plugin does not support shortcodes by default, but we’re investigating adding this as a feature for the future. However, currently there is a 3rd party plugin called event rocket that supports adding the widgets via a shortcode.Hope that helps to answer your questions! Thanks! π
