ParticipantKaren,
Thanks for reaching out. Yes, that’s correct. If you disable the ‘Admin’ for a user-type, it will not allow them into the Administration back-end of your site. The thought is that you might want to allow users to register (in order to submit events), but not want them to see the back-end of your site at all.Does that help to answer your question?

ParticipantLaura,
You can do this by performing a Template Override on event-form.php. This will allow you customize the code of that page to display some text above the <form> element.Let me know if you need further help getting this done. Thanks!

ParticipantKaren,
Could you show me what page you’re referring to by either giving me a URL or a screenshot? That will help me to track this down for you. Thanks!Casey
ParticipantKaren,
I’ll suggest this feature to our developers for a possible future release. Thanks!Casey
ParticipantJamie,
Thanks for getting in touch! In order to allow people to register on your site, you just need to enable registrations. To do this, go to your WordPress Settings->General and check ‘Anyone can register.’ Make sure the user default role is set to Subscriber: http://d.pr/i/Avno.Regarding your second question, would you mind posting that in the EC Pro forum? One of our EC Pro support team members can help you out with that question.
Thanks again!

ParticipantKaren,
Unfortunately there’s no way to currently do this through the settings. You could try adding this to your theme’s CSS:
.page-id-6463 #sidebar_wrap_right {
display:none;
}
That should at least hide the sidebar on your event submission page. Let me know if that does the trick!

ParticipantTom,
As this is an issue with your custom theme, we can’t provide support for that. I would suggest contacting the developer of your theme to see if they can help you troubleshoot.We’ll be happy to help as needed from our end. Thanks!

ParticipantTom,
I’m not seeing the same issue as you are. Everything seems to be displaying correctly on my end: http://d.pr/i/OvBB Is that how it should be displaying?January 22, 2013 at 6:11 am in reply to: URGENT: Updated Community Events plugin – Fatal Error – site is now broken #31342Casey
ParticipantTom,
Try updating your permalinks by going to ‘Settings->Permalinks’ and clicking ‘Save Changes’ there. Let me know if that resolves the 404 issue.Casey
