ParticipantMwater5,
I just wanted to follow up and see if you were able to follow my instructions above so we can troubleshoot further. Let me know if you need further help on this. Thanks!Casey
ParticipantMwaters5,
So sorry you’re having this issue. Have you de-activated all other plugins to see if there’s a conflict?April 8, 2013 at 6:17 am in reply to: Community: Block access to WordPress Admin – How do the user change password #45169Casey
ParticipantAndreas,
Unfortunately I don’t know of a plugin that does this. Just let me know if I can help further. Thanks!Casey
ParticipantGwen,
Thanks for confirming that this got you sorted. Unless you disagree, I’m going to mark this thread “Answered” and close it out.We really appreciate your support and please let us know if you need anything else in the future. If you find yourself with a few minutes and would be so kind as to give us a “Works” rating or a positive star voting on the WordPress.org repo (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/the-events-calendar/), or even a shoutout to your followers on Facebook or Twitter, it would mean a lot to us. Thanks again for using the plugin.

ParticipantGwen,
I was able to successfully verify that I’m getting email notifications in my local testing environment. However, I did notice that the notifications were showing up in my spam folder. So, you might verify that they’re not getting marked as spam.Let me know if that helps!

ParticipantTony,
I would suggest just de-activating the plugin(s), delete the plugin directories, and then re-install them. Your data should remain in-tact (I would perform a DB backup first, just to be sure though).Do you have any parent themes where the views might have also been copied? You could also try searching your server for event-form.php to see if it resides somewhere else. That’s the only other thing I could think of to do.

ParticipantGreat! Glad that got your sorted Allan.
Ggoryo – try the code I gave to Allan and see if that works for you. Let me know if you have further issues. Thanks!

ParticipantGwen,
I asked because sometimes if your server is not configured correctly and you’ve specified an email address that’s hosted on the same server, then you can run into issues with emails not being delivered.However, with an external Gmail address that shouldn’t matter.
Stand by while I investigate further.

ParticipantGwen,
Sorry to be so verbose about this, but are you using the same email address for Community notifications as you’re using for the WordPress admin email?Casey
ParticipantKen,
Unfortunately I’m still not seeing any PHP errors. As this seems to be an issue with your theme (since the default theme was displaying correctly), I’d suggest you reach out to the developer of your theme for further support.Let us know if they have any questions for us, as we’d be happy to assist them to make sure their theme is compatible.
Thanks!
Casey
ParticipantCreate a text file with the following in it:
error_reporting = E_ALL
display_errors = On
Then save that file as php.ini and upload to the root of your WordPress directory. Let me know when that’s done, and we’ll see if any PHP errors are being generated.

ParticipantKen,
I’m noticing that the page markup just ends right after the “breadcrumb” div. Could you turn on PHP errors to see if there’s an error that’s occurring, but just not displaying?Casey
ParticipantKen,
Try modifying your theme’s page.php template to the following and see if this fixes the issue: http://pastebin.com/GFw6kuKNCasey
ParticipantGwen,
Sorry to hear that you’re having troubles. Are any of the other email notifications from WordPress working (ex: new user registration, comment notifications, etc)?April 3, 2013 at 9:24 am in reply to: Need to alter text added to top of submission form, but it won't update. #44747Casey
ParticipantTony,
Do you have any caching plugins installed? That’s the only other possible way that the modified form could still be displaying, unless the code has been placed somewhere else. -
