ParticipantFor sure! We definitely agree. The feature has not been scheduled yet, but it is on our todo list.
Thanks for getting back. Please let us know if you ever need anything else!

ParticipantI want the Logo to appear over top the event ticket’s image like a watermark.
Thanks for getting back. In that case I would recommend a third party plugin like this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/image-watermark/
For some other applications it is sometimes possible to use a CSS watermark. But the tickets image is only visible in emails, and emails are very limited on what CSS they support.
My settings> General page is different from yours, please refer to screenshots. Mine does not have the “Allow anyone to register” option.
No worries there. There are two settings pages. In the WP Admin area on left, usually near the top you will see the Events menu, then inside of that you will see Settings. But near the bottom on the left you will just see “Settings”, then inside of this you will see “General”. Click on that to find the area that screenshot is showing.
Did that help?
Cheers!

ParticipantI am sorry I should have been a lot more clear. Some QR apps do not take you to Safari, they have a builtin web browser. And you need to be logged into that builtin web browser, or switch QR apps to one that opens in Safari.
If you are definitely taken to Safari after scanning and you are of course logged in, then that is very strange behavior. I have never seen it behave that way while logged in. When you scan the QR code it will show you a link, the link should look a lot like this:
http://example.com?event_qr_code=1&ticket_id=1125&event_id=1123
Could you share a copy of that link here? What happens if you visit that link in your web browser here while logged in?
Cheers!

ParticipantI’ve added a little bit to order-items that adds venue and date to the email and will continue to add show name – date and time to the ticket name until recurring events get some attention (will it ever??)…
I completely understand why anyone on the outside looking in would think we are just ignoring that feature request. 🙂 But the truth is we have spend hundreds of hours building this already, and still have many more to go. Starting in version 3.3 of our plugin work began in earnest to build this, and if you look back through our changelogs at the time and since then you will notice mentions of overhauls in preparation for recurring tickets. It’s just a massive feature request, and we’re steadily chugging away at it.
This next feature release, 4.3, includes another ~50 hours of behind the scenes development in final preparation for recurring tickets. If everything goes according to plan 4.4 will see the release of recurring tickets, along with a lot of polish to recurring events.
I think I shall also wait and hope for a fix to Tickets Plus in the next release…it is basically unuseable at the moment as any edits wipe stock/organizer and venue from the event. If you edit in WooCommerce to return stock then organizer and venue disappear. If you add venue and organizer then stock disappears!! So, as I said, not useable at the present time.
I am truly sorry it’s such a pain. 🙁 The only work around available right now is to downgrade, and that’s going to be quite a bit of work given that 4.2.4 is just around the corner. 4.2.4 is actually scheduled to be released later tomorrow, but sometimes reality happens and it runs a bit behind hence why I said within the week.

ParticipantHowdy Jill,
I would love to help you as best I can here.
It sounds like you must be using WooCommerce. One thing I should make clear is that Event Tickets Plus is basically just a small addon to WooCommerce. Acceptings payments, processing orders, all of these are part of WooCommerce itself and have nothing to do with our plugin. As such when you are trying to find help and tutorials for these things, they will commonly be found on the WooCommerce website.
Simplify Commerce and Stripe are both “Payment Gateways”. Most folks end up using Stripe. Here is a great tutorial that walks you through what a Payment Gateway is in WooCommerce. If you are after an easy answer, I’d just use Stripe. But if you’re interested in researching this and finding out which one is best for your business, I’d start with an article like that one.
Once you have chosen a Payment Gateway, checkout the WooCommerce documentation for setting it up. For instance here is how to setup Stripe’s Payment Gateway.
Is that starting to make more sense now? Does that answer your questions?
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Naveen,
We do not have any discounts going right now. However if you follow us on social media, such as twitter, facebook, or even our Blog, you can keep abreast of when we do have promotions going. From time to time we run sales and will announce sales in all of those places.
Did that answer your question?
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Cori,
I would love to help you migrate your site.
You are obviously already up to speed on our recommended procedures here. The Import/Export tools are our preferred solution for doing this.
The recurrence data should carry over. But I have to be up front, we do not test the import/export but once every few months. Sometimes between the testing periods a bug gets introduced. It has been a few months since the last in-depth test. So there is a small possibility that some data will be missing due to a bug. In light of that here is what I would do if I were you:
- Backup the new site, the one that you will be importing into.
- Run the import.
- Double check the data, make sure everything you expected to get carried over does.
If anything is missing in step 3, make a note of what it is then restore the backup from Step 1. Let me know what’s missing and I’ll gladly help you find a way to get that missing info. I doubt this will be needed, but I am telling you this just in case the unlikely/worst should happen.
That sound like a plan?
Cheers!

August 1, 2016 at 10:39 pm in reply to: iCal Importer Events Disappearing – Entire Calendars Going Blank #1146401Brook
ParticipantHowdy Matthew,
I would love to help you move towards a solution here.
So when the sync/import runs properly, the events do get posted. Does your process first nuke all events for the calendar prior to the sync?
That’s an interesting line of thinking to explain your problem, but no the calendar does not do that. It first builds a list of all events in the iCal file, then it goes through them one by one. If the event already exists, it updates the data. If it does not exist, it gets created. At no point does it actually delete the event, especially in bulk like that.
What website host are you running on? Is there any form of caching in place, particularly on the server side?
We need this fixed or we need to get a refund on both Pro and iCal Importer purchases. Please advise. Time is of the essence with school (and sports) starting back.
That is totally fair. I would love to help you figure out what’s going on and find a fix. But your issue is definitely exotic, not something I’ve seen before. And I am a bit puzzled why it is happening. To be up front it might take a goodly bit of troubleshooting to figure out what’s going, and there is only so much I can do on my end. A lot of it might end up being me walking you through things and relying on your eyes and such to fill in the rest. If that does not sound like something you wanted to do then please checkout our refund page:
It will walk you through getting a refund for those two recently purchased licenses you have.
If you’d like to keep troubleshooting please let me know the answers to those questions. 🙂
Cheers!

August 1, 2016 at 10:02 pm in reply to: Some events have the wrong time listed / Google maps not auto showing #1146398Brook
ParticipantHowdy Liz,
I am happy you have been enjoying the plugin. I would love to help sort these issues.
The first is that the time zone is off (or the wrong times are showing) only for certain events, not all. I find this really strange and I already checked to make sure the time zone is correct in google and the plugin settings. This is a huge problem for my friends clients because they don’t know when her weekday yoga classes are!
Can you show me an example of the timezone being off? Is it showing off on every page, or in the Google Search results, or where?
The other issue is that I wanted the google map to show up on all events, but it looks like the “show google map” box is not auto checked. Is there any way to make this auto checked on all events? I’m definitely not up for going through hundreds of imported events to check that box. :O
That’s totally possible. It sounds like you just want that box to always be checked. If that’s the case you could paste a little snippet in your theme’s functions.php to cause it to just ignore the setting, and always show the map!
Paste the following snippet at the top of your theme’s functions.php file. Replace the opening “<?php” with this snippet, as this snippet includes that opening tag.

Did that do what you wanted?

ParticipantHowdy Dave,
That is pretty possible. It will require a little familiarity with programming to get there, but it’s quite possible.
What most people will do is create a new URL for this default page. Something like example.com/events-near-me/. Then when someone visits this page they take the visitors IP address and geocode it, to get a latitude/longitude where that IP is likely from. Then they forward the user to our Map view with lat/lng filled in. For example here is a URL on our demo site where we have prefilled the coordinates for where you are viewing events, in this case I set them to San Francisco:
Does that sound like what you needed? I have seen this request a few times before. It’d definitely something one of us can provide assistance with building once you get there.
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Joshua,
I would love to help you with this.
If I were you I just add a little extra CSS code. The original line in your CSS can be found in this file on line 6326 :
http://www.votemikepompeo.com/wp-content/uploads/cmsms_styles/politics.css?ver=1.0.0
But if you just add a little CSS any old place you should be able to override this. Often times its nice to override then change.
span.tribe-event-time { color: #d7242f; }Did that do the trick?
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Elanor,
I would love to help you with this.
Yeah I see what you mean, that does get a little difficult with just CSS. But this is possible with a little snippet in your theme files. Paste the following snippet at the top of your theme’s functions.php file. Replace the opening “<?php” with this snippet, as this snippet includes that opening tag.

ParticipantHowdy Emily,
I would love to help you with this. Are you trying to do this on List View for events that span multiple days? Basically you just want a different CSS class attached to the event when it is a followup day?
If we’re on the same page let me know and I’ll research the best way for what you specifically need. If you need something a little different, I’ll look into that instead.
Cheers!
