That is a very interesting question! You certainly could do that, it would take a little bit of work:
- Disable the filterbar from displaying by adding this line:
`add_filter(‘tribe_events_filters_should_show’, ‘__return_false’); - Create a new WP Page Template. Copy the code from your page or blog template that you currently use into this. If you want a blank widget area, then remove the register_sidebar call.
- Then get ahold of the TribeEventsFilterView::instance(), and simply call TribeEventsFilterView::displaySidebar() where you want it to be displayed within that page template.
I like the way you think! Please let me know how this goes if you are able to do it. This might even be a good idea for one of our tutorials. Cheers sir!

I apologize for my belated response. As our forum rules indicate we ask each customer to open a new topic when they have an issue, instead of jumping in on someone elses. One of the main reasons behind this is that our forum ticketing software alerts us if the original poster responded, but it does not always if someone else jumps in. Thus, you get a delayed response. 🙁
I am seeing that problem are your site. My primary suspect would be that this is a conflict issue, either with your theme or plugin. To isolate this you can run through the following debugging steps:
Try temporarily activating the default Twenty Thirteen theme, and seeing if the issue persists.
If disabling the theme fixes it, we have narrowed the issue down to a theme conflict. Do you have any theme overrides for the Events Calendar? If so could you try disabling them by renaming your [themename]/tribe-events/ folder to ‘tribe-events-bak’. Did that fix it?
If the issue persists in the default Twenty Thirteen theme, then we have a different set of debugging steps. Please keep the Twenty Thirteen theme enabled, and also disable any plugins other than the ones from Modern Tribe to see if that fixes it. If it does, please try reenabling the plugins one at a time until the issue resurfaces. When it does resurface, can you let me know which plugin caused that to happen?

Artmildesign, the process will be different for each person. But, that link I posted gives you a nice overview of what has changed. Knowing what has changed will help you to adapt your customization. Here is a quote from the link:
The process for doing list widget overrides has changed. We’ve also made some pretty significant changes to the list widget template files, so that all HTML markup (as well as the loop) is now included in the template files for you to customize. If you have any overrides to the list widget files (for either CORE or PRO), then you’ll definitely want to update your overrides to incorporate our latest changes in order for your widgets to be working properly. As a reminder, here are the List Widget template files for CORE & PRO:
- CORE: views/widgets/list-widget.php
- PRO: views/pro/widgets/list-widget.php
Finally, if you’re running PRO, you’ll notice that we’ve also split out the ‘Related Events’ into their own template file. So, now you can override that view as well if needed!
- PRO: views/pro/related-events.php
