    Its my pleasure!

Ok, you’ve answered most of my questions – a couple more to clarify: If Organizers are able to sell tickets themselves, is it that they can include their own Paypal address?

This is possible. This articles dives into a bit more detail here including screenshots. It actually answer the rest of your questions with some nice screenshots and details as well.

is it also possible that the site owner will be able to incur his own fees for these tickets?

Certainly. You can choose either a percent of the ticket cost, or a flat fee.

As well, would it be possible for the Event Organizers to track their own sales?

    Absolutely.

Please let me know if you have any more questions, or if I can clarify any of the above. Cheers!

    Howdy Again Douglas!

I see you discovered Community Tickets since your last topic. Excellent!

Community Tickets requires the plugin Community Events. Community Events itself does allow users to select and event create venues and organizers when submitting events.

have already purchased Events Tickets Plus, dissappointed there’s no Registration form included.

I am sorry to hear this. 🙁 If there is any text or anything on our website that was confusing or led you to conclude more functionality was included than is, please let me know. I definitely want to correct that straight away.

Let me know if you have any more questions, I’d love to help. Cheers!

    Howdy Josie,

I would love to help you with this. Just to be certain I understand lets consider an example. Let’s say in you WP Pages area you created a page with the URL example.com/custom-page/. Are you trying to make it so when people visit example.com/custom-page/ they are forwarded to example.com/events/, and get to interact with the calendar? Or, are you trying to move the content from the /events/ page to /custom-page/ and have your events views reside on the custom page?

    Cheers!

    Howdy Victoria,

Here is how the list view should be appearing: http://wpshindig.com/events/list/

If you’re seeing something different then it sounds like it might be your theme altering the look List View. Based on your copy/pasted text perhaps your theme is outputting archive view as an excerpt? Some themes do this, but it unfortunately makes them incompatible with countless WP Plugins, ours included. The theme will need modification to fix this, or you could switch themes.

Would you mind logging in so I can verify your support access and help you further? Or, if you don’t have/want a license (which includes a year of support) you should checkout the volunteer community on WordPress.org: The Events Calendar. It’s not the same level of support, but it’s free! We even check those forums once each week and help to the extent we can.

I would love to help you with this. When you updated plugins Do you remember if you also updated your Avada theme? Do you remember what the last version of The Events Calendar was that you were on? Let me know and I can begin diving into what’s going on here.

    Cheers!

    Howdy Mahdi,

That’s certainly possible. All you need to do is add the anchor #tribe-events-content to the <form> action if you want that. If you need some detailed support on how to do that would you mind logging in so I can verify your support access? Howdy Brie,

I would love to help with this. Would you mind logging in so I can verify your support access? Just login with the account you created when you purchased the plugins before responding below, and we’re golden.

I know modifying the archive page can be a bit difficult as it requires knowledge of coding. I definitely would like to make this as easy as I can. What do you want to modify about it? Can you link me to what you’ve currently got?

    Cheers!

    Howdy BobbyG!

That is definitely odd you didn’t see the event. Any number of things could be hiding it, it could be an old version of the page is cached, it was pending publish, etc. It’s hard to be sure exactly what was happening to your site without more info, but it sounds like you might have found the cause?

I would definitely love to help you get to the bottom of this. If you need further assistance would you mind logging in so I can verify your support access? Howdy Douglas!

Yes sir, it sounds like the functionality you are looking for is part of Community Events. This allows public users to submit events. If you want the community organizers to be able to sell tickets on the events they add, then you might also be interested in Community Tickets. We do offer those two products bundled together with Event Tickets Plus as part of our Community Manager bundle. If you wanted to get the bundle we could  certainly issue a refund for the current order and you could get the bundle instead!

    Does that all make sense?

    Cheers!

    Howdy quickrick,

Thanks for giving those a go! I would love to help you with this.

To be upfront we actually don’t support themes that call the_title() outside of the loop. Typically the problem you’re experiencing is caused by this. Doing that is a violation of WP standards, and the reason is because it causes problems such as yours with no real way for a plugin (ours included) to fix it.

That said we still do our utmost to help. It will require modifying your theme though. The last part of the guide you linked to (here it is again) tells your to modify where the_title() is output in your theme. Likely you will find itnside of header.php or archive.php. When you tried wrapping that in conditionals, what happened? Nothing? If so, what happens if you comment out/hide that piece of code. If the incorrect title doesn’t disappear, then you’re not looking at the right the_title(). Somewhere else in your theme it is calling the_title() again, or perhaps get_the_title().

Alternatively it is possible that your parent theme has corrected this in a more recent version, and that theme will be compatible with our latest version. You could try updating it. But it looks to me like this might be a more complex method as your theme seems to be heavily modified.

Does that all make sense? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

Thanks for looking into that. Then we are facing two separate issues.

I am guessing that when you renamed the folder, the “different place on the page” that the image moved to was higher up, perhaps above the title. Some themes try to show a featured image for every page including CPTs, and when one isn’t set blank images can result.

If your only goal here is to hide the image when it’s empty then that should be pretty easy with a dash of CSS added to your theme. This will hide the image only when it’s empty:

    .tribe-events-event-image img[src=''] { display: none; }

If your goal is to find the source of this problem then we have a long ways left. For the event time issue you will need to run through the steps I outlined at the outset:

If renaming it [tribe-events folder] did get rid of the issue temporarily try renaming the files/folders inside their until the issue goes away again, Do this until you can isolate what file is causing the problem. Once you know the file, would you mind sharing a copy of it? Perhaps upload it to pastebin or gist?

For the image itself I am curious if the posts might be corrupted a bit in the database. What happens if you add a featured image to the venue. You hinted at the outset that it shows up, does it? If so try deleting the featured image now. Does the empty image go away?

    Cheers!

Quick followup, if you did go ahead with making the backup I recommended, after running the transient cleanup plugin you might run an OPTIMIZE_TABLE command on your wp_options tables. Perhaps your wp_posts and wp_postmeta tables as well. When you have removed a massive amount of data from a DB this command can sometimes further speed up the database. This command can be run from PHPMyAdmin as well, just click on the wp_options table then click over to the Operations tab. One of the links on this page is the Optimize table command.
