    Hi,

Sorry for the issues you are having. I can help troubleshoot this with you. I took a look at your site and see the Map is not registering the events there.

I checked the Developer Console in Firebug and it is giving me a 404 error.

Can you please follow our 404 Error Guide and see if that helps:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/troubleshooting-404-errors/

If that does not help I can have you setup WordPress Debug and see if there are any errors.

That might not show something either and before we I have seen this issue there was a conflict within php itself causing the map to not work that the host had to fix.

So let me know what happens after the 404 error guide and we can go from there.

    Thanks

    Hi Evgenii,

Thanks for using the Events Calendar. I can help answer your questions.

is it possible to display events within a period of time and place them on the page?

Unfortunately, we do not have a feature to display by a specific time period. It is something that can be done with some customization, but for the most part that is beyond the support we can provide.

You may want to look at the Event Rocket plugin, it is an unofficial plugin maintained by the Events Calender Developers:

    Event Rocket

It does have shortcodes that take time periods and explains how to use them in the FAQ section.

Also, if you think that is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.

    http://tribe.uservoice.com/

How this is done on http://wpevents.net/themes/eventful/pro/ ( block “recommended events” ).

I took a look at that site and all the events are using features from that theme, it is not using our plugin at all. So they have their own coding to achieve their look and feel.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

    Hi fierceclever,

Sorry for the troubles you are having.

I tried out that coding on my website to change the default currency and I did not get any errors. I also created a test event and the price is set to Euros.

So it looks like the coding is working.

It sounds like there is a php error causing the issue.

Can you try replacing the snippet in your coding again and make sure it is all there.

If that does not work, then can you please follow these steps to debug the site and see what the error log says:

    Debug
Can you please follow the section of the WordPress Codex Debug titled “Example wp-config.php for Debugging” on this page:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress

Please add that coding to your wp-config.php file.

Then cause the white screen on your site on a couple loads and visit the debug.log file and let me know if there are any errors there.

Let me know what you find out and we can go from there.

    Thanks

    Hi jruprecht,

Sorry for the issues you are having. We are currently on version 3.8.1 for the Events Calendar and the Events Calendar Pro. Are you able to update to that version as I do not think Pro 3.4 and WordPress 4.0 would work together.

Let me know once you update if you still have issues and we can troubleshoot them with you.

    Thanks

Hi, thanks for the interest in our plugin.

Unfortunately, we are unable to confirm if it will work with that theme.

You can try the free version of our plugin using that theme and that would give you a better idea about the compatibility.

    Hi,

Thanks for the interest in our plugins. I can help answer your question.

The Events Calendar Comes with a month view and widgets to display events on other parts of the site. You can set the widgets to show up to 10 events at a time. We do not offer a shortcode at this time so it would need to be a widget area.

I would recommend looking at our New User Primer for a good explanation of all our features:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-pro-new-user-primer/

AND I noticed you have examples with the Twenty-ten etc websites. Will it work with say the new FoodEez (sp?) or other responsive WP based site as well? I did not find a good reference for a list of compatible sites on your site but maybe it just works with everything?

We try to make our plugin as compatible with as many themes are possible, but with thousands and thousands, there will be conflicts at some point. So I am not sure about that FoodEez theme, but there is a good chance it will work.

You can test out many of the calendar features for free and see if it works with your theme by downloading the plugin off WordPress.org

    The Events Calendar

Also we try to help with customizations and give you some tips, but for the most part you are on your own so if you are looking to change the look of the calendar a lot it would be beyond the support we can provide.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

I am glad to see you were able to fix this issue and it is working somewhat.

We are working on a better handling of importing events.

The plugin should work in anything past 5.2, but I would recommend 5.4 or later.

Since the issue is resolved I am going to go ahead and close this ticket. If you have a similar issue or another in the future, please do not hesitate to create a new ticket.

    superbigcat,

Thanks for posting here and the features both you and storeulven do make sense and I can see how that would be valuable. However, most many of our users the current behavior make sense.

One option maybe to turn these multiday events in daily recurring events, that way it would always show today in the list view as the past days of the recurring event would not show.

Also, please head to our UserVoice Page and add your own or upvote that feature as they will increase the chances of it being added to a future version.

    Glad it gets you closer.

I am unable to login to a site and help on a matter like this. We usually only do that if there is a series bug or issue.

I do have some more information to help out.

It looks like this script is not on the Event View Page:

    <script>jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery.backstretch("http://whub44.webhostinghub.com/~moore25/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/Corbis-42-541608141.jpg"); });</script>

That is why the background is not tiled.

Not sure how your theme adds that, but you could manually target the Event Views Page and add that using a hook. It looks like the backstretch script is there so just adding the coding would work.

Here is a list of conditionals that would help.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for the interest in your plugins. That sounds like an interesting customization that I think is possible, but it is not a feature of Pro. Also, we try to help out with customization, but it is beyond the support we can provide to help on an entire customization.

I think you could pull this off without Pro. If you follow our themer’s guide:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/

You can modify the links in the templates to where you want to send them.

Let me know if you have any more follow up questions, but that is about all I can provide on this.

    Thanks
