MemberHi,
Thanks for using our plugins and unfortunately, there is no simple work around to add a slug to the url. The issue is that the Events Calendar Views (months, lists, photo, etc) are considered by WordPress to be an Archive so by default WordPress does not consider those to have hierarchy as it is not a page it is an archive. So adding a slug before events is possible, but would involve creating a custom solution to get around WordPress’s defaults.
We are interested in working to create a shortcode so this would not be an issue, but there is no timetable on if or when that may come out.
One way to get around this is to change the events slug to something else. Then using the category links to view the events. As the categories create a slug like this(concert is the category):
yoursite.com/events/concert/
I will gladly try to answer answer questions you have about this, but there is not much else we have beyond that.
Thanks
Brian
MemberOk that makes sense.
There is a conflict between us and WPML. It is something we are going to work on addressing early next year, but does involve a rather significant change to our coding to get to work correctly.
We do not have a way to change the order.
However, I know of this plugin:
But I have not tested it myself, but it could help change that order.
That is about all we have for this, we unfortunately, do not have any snippets to help with WPML as the issues are much deeper then a snippet could fix.
Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thanks

MemberThanks for clarifying. Since they are separate sites there is no feature to use a widget on the subdirectory site that uses data from the main site. There is some ways around that but they would involve a fair amount of customization, which I am afraid is beyond the support we can provide.
- Some of the ways that could be done are to build a function to call widgets from the main site
- iframe the widget after creating a special page to show it in the main site
- RSS Feed from the main site. This might be the easiest as it could pull the information in and then you could style it.
Let me know if you have any more follow up questions.
Thanks

MemberNo worries tiborp, it is not a problem. Just if that snippet did not work it would be better for us to help you one on one instead of having two conversations going. We will always help out even if you post in another topic. Glad that 2nd snippet worked for you.
Thanks

MemberHi tiborp,
Sorry for the troubles with the links. It is encouraged that you created your own ticket when you have issues as we can better help you one on one that way and every time we post here it pings the creator of the topic(chrisgeist). However, we will always help out even when you post this way. If none of the snippets work out please create a new ticket when you come back and reference this one for what you did and we can take it from there to help you.
First Snippet
This may help both of you, try adding this snippet to your theme’s function.php:https://gist.github.com/elimn/7f7874478c09638410ba
Second Snippet
If that one does not work, remove it and then can try using this snippet in your theme’s function.php as well:https://gist.github.com/elimn/67679b0b9b74793a53f0
Let me know how that works out.
Thanks
