showing events next month(s) in calendar widget

Hello. On http://edgar.frl-website.nl/ (test-site with latest updates) I would like to show a list of upcoming events in the right column. However, only the events of this month are shown, not of the next month. For 90% of the days this doesn’t matter, but if I for instance have the last event this month now on 29 November and it is currently 30 november, then no events are shown. Or if it is 28 november today, then only 29 november is shown, not the events on 1, 2 and 5 December. What can be done about this? This is also an issue with the big list I have my actual live site http://www.expatclub.org, which had been solved with manual tweaking (don’t know how he did that).

I can help you out.

The design of the Mini Widget Calendar is to show Events from the month so yes at the end of the month that could cause there to be no events showing as they are in the next month.

The Event List Widget does not rely on that and will show all upcoming Events.

The only way to get the Mini Calendar Widget to show events from the next month is to do some customization.

Fast Forward
You could try following out Fast Forward Guide for the mini calender. It would enable the calendar to go to the next month with events once the current month’s events have past.

Thank you Brian! Much appreciated, my developer will have a look at it. Just another question, it seems that removing the date and/or location from the widget will also remove the same details from the main event calendar. Is there a way to define per widget what is shown? On this home page: http://edgar.frl-website.nl/ I namely want to have only the most essential information. The day + date are already in the calendar icon, so it is not necessary to repeat it again in text format. However, if removed, it should mean it is also removed from the main event calendar… Any advise is much appreicated.

I am a little confused by your question and not sure what you are referring too. The main calendar is not a widget.

The main calendar is located here:

The widget is on your home page.

How are you removing the day and date from the widget? If you are using css you would want to target just that widget.

If you add this to your css selector, it will target just that widget:

#tribe-mini-calendar-2

Not sure if that helps, if I was way off please let me know all the steps you took and I can try to help out from there.
