ParticipantHi, Bart. That’s definitely unusual.
What happens when you try to update The Events Calendar to 3.1?
Kelly
ParticipantHi, Tom. The option to Show Comments is on the main Settings page for The Events Calendar. Please ensure that box is checked, and they should appear.
Please let us know how it goes!

ParticipantHi, creativebridge. The Events Calendar (even without PRO) provides its own RSS feed which can be found at http://your-url.com/your-events-slug/feed. The possibilities for customizing it are almost limitless. You can learn more about it and the customizing options in this tutorial.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantHi, morktron. I definitely see the behavior you’re talking about.
Would you mind sending us a link to a screenshot of your venue editing screen? That might help.
Thanks!
Kelly
ParticipantHi, Susan. Thanks for getting in touch about the functionality available in WooCommerce Tickets. It does indeed sounds like WooCommerce Tickets would be a good solution based on your description.
You can see the add-on in action on our demo site:
http://wpshindig.com/event/the-events-calendar-wootickets-wordpress-demo/
For a taste of what it will be like to manage inventory, I recommend you download the (free) WooCommerce plugin and give it a test drive. You’ll find the inventory management under the WooCommerce Products section in the Dashboard.
Are there any other questions I can answer to help you evaluate the add-on?
Kelly
ParticipantHi, frangotier. It sounds like everything is working as it should.
Because the Ticket is generated by WooCommerce Tickets and The Events Calendar, changes you can make to it on the WooCommerce products page are limited. Something like checking “downloadable”, will not have any effect, as far as I know.
This should get you the IDs:
$query = new WP_Query(array( 'post_status' => array( 'published', 'future' ), 'post_type' => 'event', 'field' => 'ids' )' );But, beyond that, you’ll need to check out our Themer’s Guide, linked at right, for info on how to customize the tickets and email. If you hit any snags along the way, please let us know. We’re always happy to help get you pointed in the right direction.

ParticipantHi, Renee. I’m sorry you’ve come up against this issue.
Unfortunately, we were not able to roll the fix for this into our latest release (out yesterday). We do have it on the radar, and it is a very high priority for us.
Your best bet is to keep your eyes on the release notes in future updates, where we will remark if it has been fixed. If there is a snippet available for you to install in the interim, we’ll make it known in the support forum.
October 1, 2013 at 4:17 pm in reply to: Replaced Jigoshop with WooTickets/WooCommerce and having a problem #68677Kelly
ParticipantHi, Thomas. I’m glad to hear that you’re enjoying exploring your new software. That’s great.
Since our expertise here is really The Events Calendar and the WooCommerce Tickets add-on, I’m afraid we can only be of limited help to you.
From what you say above, it sounds like you probably need to change out the shortcodes, now that you’re not using Jigoshop anymore, for the WooCommerce version. Still, to be sure, your best bet is to contact WooThemes directly.
Good luck with your transition!
Kelly
ParticipantFantastic. Please let us know how it goes!

ParticipantHello, again, semacore! Thanks for separating your issues into different threads. It really makes it easier to troubleshoot.
I must say that I’m not sure what you mean by the earlybird discount problem. If you’re looking to have tickets that are available for sale at a reduced rate until a certain date, you have a couple of options.
First, you could set up two tickets for the event and configure which was active at a give time with the start and end dates, seen here: http://d.pr/i/34qs. The other option is to configure a coupon in WooCommerce that would be specific to the event or “product”.
At the end of the day, different folks would want to handle early bird pricing differently, and between WooCommerce and WooCommerce Tickets, most of the work is done already. Hopefully, those suggestions will get you the rest of the way there!
October 1, 2013 at 3:52 pm in reply to: new version of events calendar (3.1) breaks the site. #68670Kelly
ParticipantHi, semacore. I’m very sorry to hear that you’ve had issues with upgrading to 3.1. It is surprising, though, because this is basically a maintenance release with few major changes.
Is it possible that you’ve got something else at play? Since others aren’t reporting this, perhaps there is something specific to your install that we could troubleshoot?
If you prefer, we can definitely give you the old code, but please realize that we will be able to offer only very limited support. You would probably be better served by investing the time to work through the upgrade, if possible.
As to your side note, if you can point us to the broken div, we’ll eagerly fix it. The last we heard about an issue related to that, there was a problem with the sidebar not closing, but i was under the impression that we had deployed that fix in a previous release.
Kelly
ParticipantHi, kineticbuzz. You’ll be glad to know that our release was launched yesterday. If you have some time to try upgrading, I’d appreciate the feedback to know if that resolves you issue.
If not, we can dig deeper and figure out what’s going on.
October 1, 2013 at 3:36 pm in reply to: Tool Tip Pop-up links on Calendar Month view going to 404 pg—not Event Detail #68665Kelly
ParticipantHi, pruneau. Thanks for turning back on month view.
Actually as far as I can tell, everything is working as it should. We did come out with a new maintenance release of our plugins yesterday. Have you had a chance to upgrade? If so, that might explain the resolution.
1. All the tooltips for October look right. The tooltips should not have links in them, and those do not. Please confirm that you’re seeing the same behavior. If you aren’t, it may be a good idea to clear your browser cache and reload the page.
2. It looks like some of the recurring events have a small featured image while others have a larger one. Do you think this could have something to do with the image you selected? If you change the image to one of the ones that looks right in a different tooltip, does it look right in that one?
Also, if you haven’t had a chance to upgrade to 3.1 yet, I’d appreciate doing so. It’s just a maintenance release, so it’s unlikely to break anything. (Please make a backup first, just in case.) This way we’ll both be on the same version through our troubleshooting.
Thanks, PP!
Kelly
ParticipantHi, Sam. Thanks for your understanding.
Tickets.php lives in /wp-content/plugins/wootickets/views/wootickets/ and the two email files live in /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/tickets. Does that help?
Kelly
ParticipantFantastic! Thanks for letting us know, Lara.
Since you’re set for now, I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. Please start a new topic if anything else comes up.
