Hi, blueduck. Thanks for your response.

That’s fantastic that you were about to figure out the conflict. Well done! Typically this is because the other plugins is enqueuing the Google Maps API where it shouldn’t. Basically, it’s worth getting in touch with the other plugin dev and asking them about it. If there’s something that they can point to that we’re doing against WP best practices, we’re happy to get that fixed right away.

#2 sounds like something that a template override would work best for. Between the Themer’s Guide and the Technical Docs, you should have all you need to make that happen. If you get stuck, feel free to hit us up, and we’ll do our best to get you pointed in the right direction.

#3 also sounds like a plugin or theme conflict, because it looks like none of the search functions are working correctly. I would try paring down to 2012 with only TEC and PRO and working up from there, seeing when it breaks.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi, blueduck. Great questions! πŸ™‚

First, I’d like to ask if you had the opportunity to go through our recommended troubleshooting steps, including deactivating all other plugins to check for a plugin conflict and reverting to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twelve (with other plugins still deactivated) to check for a theme conflict. This is important as often these are issues specific to your setup.

Also, in the future, please make separate threads for each issue so that we can more effectively help you in troubleshooting.

    Thanks!

Hi, markappeal. Thanks for getting in touch.

I think the problem may be that you don’t have our free plugin (The Events Calendar) installed:

    The Events Calendar

Both TEC and PRO need to be installed and activated together because they work as a team.

Would you mind trying that and letting me know how it goes?

    Hi, Jim. Great question! πŸ™‚

It turns out this is a bug that shipped with 3.2, so you’re not alone. Usually, it’s resolved by this snippet:

    https://gist.github.com/jazbek/7442734

Please let us know if that works for you. Also, it would be good to know which theme and slider you’re using for our troubleshooting purposes.

    Thanks! πŸ™‚

    Hi, rociopts. Great question! πŸ™‚

It defintiely sounds like you’re on the right track. If that isn’t working for you, maybe you could try creating a new plugin for the widget and registering it that way?

Let us know how it goes! πŸ™‚

Hi, tomkuri. Sorry to hear that this is happening for you.

Would you mind trying out this snippet: https://gist.github.com/jazbek/6585714

That should help, but please let us know how it goes.

For the others, have you tried deactivating and reactivating our plugins? That often resolves it for users.

    Thanks!

So, I prodded our devs and we came up with something. It’s not pretty, but it should do the trick for the time being.

You’ll need to override the template for month view, so first, please check out our Themer’s Guide, linked in the sidebar, if you’re unfamiliar. From there, please put this snippet at the bottom of the overridden content.php in the Month View folder:

    http://pastebin.com/zaZW2Qjt

It won’t be pretty, but it will switch to List View for your users on small screens.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi, Michele. Great question!

I notice that you’re running an old version of the plugin. Is there a reason you haven’t upgraded to 3.2?

Also, were you able to follow our normal troubleshooting steps of deactivating all other plugins and changing to a default theme like Twenty Twelve?

    Thanks!

Hi, greenlight. This is a great question.

We definitely feel your pain here, and do have responsive behaviors in the works for an upcoming release in the not too distant future. For now, though, I unfortunately don’t have any suggestions how you could customize your site to change per device. Without going into too much of the specifics, we don’t have a JS function to switch the view on the fly and doing so by AJAX is problematic for other reasons.

If you need an immediate solution, your best bet would be to hire a third-party developer who could take a look. Should you be interested, we’d be happy to provide you with a list.

Sorry I don’t have a better answer for you, but please rest assured that help is on the way!

Hi, auburnmassdaily. THanks for the detailed response.

Based on how your calendar displaying, I think it has to do with the settings you have chosen. Would you mind ensuring that you have the Month View enabled on the Display tab of the Events Calendar Settings? I’m not even able to navigate to it manually, so I think that may be the issue.

    Thanks!

Would you mind sending us a screenshot or two of the behavior you’re referring to? That will make it easier for us to get an idea of what’s happening.

    Hi, John. Great question! πŸ™‚

This looks like an issue that happened with one of our earlier releases, but has been fixed in recent ones. Would you mind posting your System Info, found in the Help Tab of the Events Calendar Settings, so that I can get a better feel for your setup?

    Thanks!
