ParticipantI upgraded from free to pro and all the previous events that were entered in free were set for ending today. (at the time of the upgrade) no matter how far in the future the event was scheduled.
It also killed the upcoming events feed
Please adviseDecember 4, 2013 at 6:25 pm #80262Kelly
ParticipantHi, markappeal. Thanks for getting in touch.
I think the problem may be that you don’t have our free plugin (The Events Calendar) installed:
Both TEC and PRO need to be installed and activated together because they work as a team.
Would you mind trying that and letting me know how it goes?

ParticipantI had the free plugin installed first.
Then bought the pro version
Also
All new events are set to the date that were created rather than the date set in the options 🙁December 5, 2013 at 3:42 am #80309markappeal
ParticipantActually what it seems to be doing is time stamping the post to the time that the page is served but it is still rendering all events as past.

ParticipantHi, markappeal. That sounds really frustrating.
First, please make sure both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO are installed. Second, please follow our standard troubleshooting steps by reverting to a default theme like Twenty Twelve and deactivating all other plugins. Once you’ve done those thing, do you see any difference in the behavior?

ParticipantI did the plugin thing – don’t think there is an issue there.
I did not revert to the default them – as it was working fine with me theme until I added the pro pluginDecember 5, 2013 at 8:20 am #80340Kelly
ParticipantThat makes sense, markappeal. I must admit that I’m a little perplexed.
I think the most expedient way to resolve this would probably be for you to give us an admin login to your site so that we could see what’s happening on the backend. If that’s all right with you, please send it in a private reply to this thread.
Thanks!

ParticipantOk did it again and I found the culprit. (not sure why it didn’t catch it before)
But the Infinite Slider plugin by MandLoys when activated seems to be time stamping each event to the time it is served (when the page is visited)
Any ideas ?December 5, 2013 at 8:57 am #80346Kelly
ParticipantThat’s fantastic news, markappeal. Great work! 🙂
For the slider issue, please try putting this snippet in your theme’s functions.php file:
https://gist.github.com/jazbek/7442734
(You will probably want to omit the opening PHP tag.)
Let us know how it goes!
