    Great question, msipes! 🙂

This looks like a classic case of a theme conflict. Do you see how the drop down menu for changing the view doesn’t work? Were you able to see the Valentine’s event or use the dropdown in a WP default theme like Twenty Twelve?

Hi, kezamedia. Thanks for the login to see your site. 🙂 That’s super helpful.

From what I see, your two events appear in Month View, but not in List View. There are two things that could be the issue that come to mind.

I notice that you mention that you tried reverting to a default WP theme like Twenty Twelve and deactivated all other plugins as part of the troubleshooting process. While investigating that, did you notice any change? This could certainly be the result of a theme- or plugin-conflict.

Secondly, The Events Calendar is designed to live at yourwebsite.com/events-slug. I notice that you have it in a subdirectory. It’s possible that that could be the culprit as I’ve seen that arrangement produce strange symptoms in the past.

Please let us know how your troubleshooting goes!

    Hi, dkiessling. Great question!

This behavior happens in some themes, so we have a tutorial for how to add a snippet of code to raise the tooltip on month view. Please give that a shot and let us know how it goes! 🙂

Hi, Quentin. Thanks for the follow-up!

You’re absolutely right in your assessment about using  multiple email templates. It’s possible that a plugin like Woot Library could make the process a bit easier on you, but it would still be a pretty heavy lift.

We definitely encourage users to make feature requests and have a User Voice page set up for this purpose. We would be very grateful if you would offer up ideas there as well as commenting on existing ones. When selecting new features to implement, we make our decisions based on the feedback in our User Voice forum.

This is a little confusing to explain, runwildmissoula, but what you’re seeing is an issue that you’re having with the text editor that’s built into WordPress (TinyMCE), not our plugin.

We have not had any other reports of this issue, so I can only assume that this has something to do with the content that you’re pasting. One way to work around that would be to strip all the formating by pasting it into a text editor and then copying and pasting that into the browser field.

I’m sorry that we can’t offer any further advice, but this issue is really something that we don’t have any control over.

    Best of luck!

Hi, runwildmissoula. I’m sorry that didn’t work for you.

It sounds like this is more of a WP/TinyMCE issue, rather than one with The Events Calendar. I do know that adding a non-breaking space can sometimes force wpautop to do the right thing, but ultimately, this is something that you may need to play around with on your own.

If anything else comes up with your instance of The Events Calendar, please don’t hesitate to reach out! We’ll do our best to get you sorted. 🙂

Hi, Gordon. All threads are closed after two weeks of inactivity, so that’s probably what happened in the previous thread.

As far as the code goes, you’ll notice that the forum converted the single quotes into curly quotes. Have you checked to make sure that they’re not curly quotes in your PHP file. That could definitely throw a wrench in things.

If you’d like to suggest a new feature, please post to our User Voice forum. We prioritize features based on the response they receive there.

    Hope that helps! 🙂

Hi, Paul. As you are well aware, recurring events are not supported by any of our ticketing plugins and we clearly state this on the product page.

Please refrain from making comments like this on unrelated forum threads. Thank you.

Hi, Patti. I just wanted to follow-up with you one more time before closing this thread out completely.

I feel really bad that we don’t have a great solution for you when it comes to communicating existing bugs that we’re working on resolving. As a long-time customer, we truly value your feedback, and I personally apologize that we can’t offer more. If there is a plugin- or theme-specific integration you’re working on or a bug you have a question about, absolutely let us know, and we’ll do our best to get you an answer that makes sense and helps.

That said, as a token of our appreciation, when your license comes up for renewal, if you still have faith in us and our plugin, email leah ([email protected]) referencing this thread, and we’ll get you a coupon for a free renewal. We hope to have you as part of the community for a long while to come!

Congratulations on finding the conflict, highasp! 🙂 Well done!

I’m not familiar with Press Permit. Are you using it for user/role/content management? If so, Members (http://wordpress.org/plugins/members/) might be a great solution to you that we know plays well with TEC.

Otherwise, we’d really appreciate it if you’d get in touch with the Press Permit devs and ask them to look into what’s going on. We’ve never had another report of this particular conflict, so we don’t really know what to suggest. If they do find something where we’re going against best practices, we’d love to hear about  it! 🙂

Thanks for your sleuthing! Hopefully, we can get you back in business very soon! 🙂

Hi, xaviorspade. Would you mind walking me through the steps you take to send the email? That should help us narrow down the issue.

    Thanks!
