ParticipantHi,
I previously read the topic in regards to the plug in and sliders having a conflict and did try the workaround for it, but it did not clear up the issue (I have since removed that portion of code). When I activate the plug in, my featured slider on my homepage disappears (and it seems to be the plugin/folder the-events-calendar that has the issue vs the PRO plugin portion). Any ideas on how to get this back up again? Once I remove the-events-calendar folder from the server, the slider works again. Thanks in advance!January 9, 2014 at 7:11 am #89255Kelly
ParticipantHi, ntbacalendar. Sorry to hear you’re having issue with the slider on your site. We’re eager to get to the bottom of this with you.
First, there were several iterations of the gist that we suggested people use to fix this. I’d like to make sure you’re on the latest. Would you please confirm that this is the snippet that you’re trying (without the opening PHP tags): https://gist.github.com/jazbek/7442734 Also, where did you insert it on your site?
What theme and slider are you using? Assuming that we are unfamiliar with the code for them, would you be willing to send us a copy for testing?
It would also be helpful to know if you have gone through the troubleshooting steps of deactivating all other plugins to ensure there aren’t any other conflicts going on.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi, Thank you for the response.
Yes, the above code was what I tried. I inserted it into the suggested functions.php file (as per this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/slider-on-my-site-no-longer-shows-articlenow-that-i-uploaded-the-new-version-3-2/)
We are using gabthemes Journey theme and yes, I would be willing to email a copy. It is the featured slider on the home page that is not working (the slider comes with the theme). Could you please let me know which email address to use?
This calendar was the first plug in we installed and it is when the slider stopped working, but yes, I did delete all of the plugins besides the two event calendar ones (and added back the above listed code) and the slider still did not work. I currently do not have the added code on my site.
Thanks again for your help!

ParticipantThanks for the detailed reply, ntbacalendar! 🙂
It would definitely be helpful to have a copy for our testing. The easiest would be if you could put it in a dropbox or something and send us the link in the forum. If that’s not possible, please send a copy to pro /at/ tri.be with a link to this thread.
Again, we’re very sorry you’re experiencing this issue and will do what we can to get you back up as soon as possible. 🙂

ParticipantHi,
I just sent an email to a dropbox file of our theme (I wanted to respect the paid theme and not post it publicly).I hate doubling up on questions, but I do have another question related to our theme. If you look at the calendar month view on our site (http://www.northtahoebusiness.org/testsite/events) – the calendar looks funky when an event is listed (the date bar is raised). Is there any way around this?
Thanks again for your help!

ParticipantHi, ntbacalendar. I did receive the theme, and I handed it off to our dev team this morning. As soon as I hear back, I’ll let you know.
For the other, issue, we really do try to stick to one issue per thread. If you’d please start a new topic with your formatting question, we’d be grateful. If it’s helpful to you, you can say that there’s a link to your theme in Ticket #24577.
Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantSorry for the delay, ntbacalendar! Here’s another snippet for you to try out:

We’re pretty confident it should do the trick! 🙂
