MemberGuessing we’re all good here (it’s been a while since the last update) so I’ll go ahead and close the thread 🙂

MemberIt’s been a while so I’ll go ahead and close this thread.
Barry
MemberGlad you found the cause 🙂
I’m no email expert, but I would imagine an undeliverable mail may still have been ‘dispatched’ – and so at WordPress/plugin level it would be difficult or impossible to differentiate between emails like that and ones that are sent to valid addresses.
Since I don’t think there’s much more we can do here however I’ll go ahead and close this thread – thanks again for reporting back.
Barry
MemberI’m not sure there’s a lot we can do to help here – our own plugin doesn’t log the sending of emails and I don’t believe WooCommerce does either (and, in a standard setup, even if wp_mail() reports the email was sent successfully that may not be true 100% of the time).
It could be worth investigating if a log of email activity is retained on your server (or if you are using a third party service for sending emails you could ask if they maintain a log).
Sorry we can’t do more!

MemberSure, if it occurs without our plugin (or the gift certificate plugin) activated, even with a new test product, then it does rather sound like a WooCommerce issue – but WooThemes I am sure will be able to confirm or deny that and you can take things from there 🙂

MemberWhat I mean is – generally tickets (created with WooTickets) are viewed on events pages, whereas other non-ticket products are viewed on individual product pages.
It may be that only views taking place on individual product pages are counted for the purposes of the “Recently Viewed” widget (in which case that would generally exclude tickets).

MemberOK. I’m unfamiliar with how that widget works, but it may be that it only counts impressions on the ‘actual’ product page, not the event/ticket page.
Barry
MemberNo problem 🙂
One thing you can try in the interim is adjusting your WordPress date/time settings (in Settings > General). If it is currently location based – for example, “Los Angeles” – try switching to offset based – for example, “UTC -8” – or indeed try the opposite of that.
I seem to recall that helped in some cases (but not all).

MemberOK – and to confirm (I wasn’t absolutely clear from your earlier answers) does this persist if you deactivate WooTickets? If so can you/have you approach WooThemes and asked them for help on this one?

MemberBy default ticket products have their catalog visibility turned off – you can change that though by editing the ticket in the WooCommerce product editor (and changing the catalog visiblity setting).
Does that help with this issue?
Barry
MemberI appreciate that, but even so if you could create a new test product that could eliminate a number of possibilities where changes to the products (by that plugin) were committed to the database within the posts/post meta tables.

MemberHi Rich,
Those two snippets look identical to me – but that could be because the forum is prone to stripping out pieces of code. Can you try using a service such as Pastebin to share your code (and just drop the link in here)?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberCool – can you create a new test product that isn’t in anyway connected to the gift certificate plugin (or identify any of those which are not – though I’m guessing by the product titles they all are)?
Barry
MemberCan you link to your WooCommerce storefront (and do you have any test products that you have created independently of the gift certificate plugin)?
I appreciate in practice you may not be exposing the storefront to customers, but there may be some ‘clues’ therein.
