MemberHi billysob,
It looks like your theme is doing some interesting things with your URLs (note the way they are tranformed “hash bang” style with #! being prepended to the slug).
It looks like it’s tripping up over the event calendar’s URLs however – the #! being sort of inserted halfway – and in turn The Events Calendar may be tripping up over the modified URLs the theme is generating.
Unfortunately this sort of conflict is not something we’re going to be able to help with as this URL manipulation represents markedly different behaviour from what can reasonably be expected in a normal WordPress environment – and so you’d need to work with the theme author or a suitable developer to build a solution if you want them to gel nicely.
Sorry we can’t do more on this occasion.

MemberHi zacheryh,
I can’t seem to replicate this – do you know when this occurs (ie is that same log entry generated consistently every time you visit month view / the list of events in the admin environment / something else of that nature)?
Can you also confirm if it occurs when you deactivate all other plugins and switch to a default, unmodified theme (as other plugins and themes can all modify queries)?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi wtfgeezy,
I haven’t seen that particular problem before, it would be great to find out what’s happening.
I do note you took the time to deactivate other plugins and also switch to a default, unmodified theme in order to check for conflicts (thanks!) – can you confirm if that helped and if you were able to further isolate the problem to a specific component such as a plugin or your theme?
Can you also tell me if you have made any customizations, such as template overrides or setting up event-related actions/filters?
Thanks!

MemberHi Michael,
Apologies first of all for the delay – we do try to reply as quickly as we can but please note that per the notice at the top of the forum pages there may be a delay of upto 48hrs before a response (which I don’t think we’ve exceeded here) – simply due to how busy we’ve been in recent weeks.
A better starting point to learn about the new structure is probably our themer’s guide:
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/
Can you review that and see if it points you in the right direction. If not or if you need further help can I ask you to share a URL so we can see the problem(s)? That often makes it easier to provide some direction 🙂
Thanks!

MemberHi emarketip,
Sorry for the delay: I seem able to switch from month to photo view (and back again) without any problem. Is this something you’ve solved / have you since deactivated Ubermenu?
Can you also confirm that this http://wpmegamenu.com/ is the source of that plugin (so I can be sure which you are talking about)?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberI’m not actually seeing this when I visit your site – have you removed anything as a temporary workaround and if so would you be able to put it back in place so we can see the problem?
Thanks also for deactivating other plugins to test for a conflict – I’m guessing this didn’t provide any useful information – but can you confirm if at the same time you tried switching to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi Twinparks – you can access historic versions from Account Central → Downloads, does that help here?

MemberHi Amanda,
Using just that child theme I don’t have the calendar on the front page – I do see the code to enqueue event-related scripts on the front page but I’m not seeing much else so as code to actually display the calendar on the front page or to restrict it to a specific category.
Is there anything I’m missing here/can you point me in the right direction?
Barry
MemberOK – it sounds like you’ll be able to get by with this workaround – if after one or two maintenance releases you’re still encountering problems then definitely do get back to us and we’ll see what we can do 🙂
For the time being though I’ll close this thread.
Barry
MemberNo problem – happy to help 🙂
Barry
MemberNo problem at all – glad to hear you’re on track!
Barry
MemberOK, well that does sound like perhaps your theme’s use of Javascript could be a little more selective.
Since it’s sounding like you’ve got a workaround (and that it may be more appropriate to seek advice from the theme author in this scenario) I will close this thread.
If there is anything else we can do though definitely open a new thread and we’ll be happy to help!
Barry
MemberThat’s probably a good call – if you hit any further walls (though it’s sounding like this might be a problem that is specific to your theme) do feel free to post a new thread, for the time being though since my impression is you’re back on track I’ll close this one.
Thanks!

MemberYep, you wouldn’t see that code unless you add it first of all – it doesn’t exist by default (in most cases it isn’t needed). Can you take a look at our Themer’s Guide which covers a number of CSS related topics and see if that gets you on track?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberThe best way to share a screenshot is by uploading the image to a service like Droplr or Dropbox, or even your WordPress site, and simply dropping the URL in here.
Thanks!
