ParticipantHi there,
I had this working fine on my home page – showing the calendar month in grid view on the home/front page and filtering to display only a certain category.
It appears that this stopped working after I updated my site with code from support on a different thread (https://tri.be/support/forums/topic/losing-mouseover-on-calendar-displayed-on-homefront-page/#post-59739) to get the tooltip popovers working in this scenario as well. I’m not sure why the css related fix for the tooltip popovers would affect the category filtering. Any ideas?
Thanks!

MemberHi Amanda, just to help me get up to speed on this one – can you you link to whatever thread/code you originally used to focus on a specific category?
Thanks!

MemberHi Amanda,
Using just that child theme I don’t have the calendar on the front page – I do see the code to enqueue event-related scripts on the front page but I’m not seeing much else so as code to actually display the calendar on the front page or to restrict it to a specific category.
Is there anything I’m missing here/can you point me in the right direction?

ParticipantHere’s my page.php code:
http://pastebin.com/zufcYQkwDoesn’t the line with tribe_show_month display the month view with my filtered category? (or supposed to)
Other than the CSS, I’m not sure what else changed from the fix I was given in the previous thread…September 5, 2013 at 2:40 pm #64779Barry
MemberHi Amanda!
Sorry for the delay, first of all.
So I can see the code you referred to in page.php (the bit of information I was missing was that a static front page had to be set up) however it does not work as expected when I test it – even if I quote the category slug (the slug in your code isn’t in quotes which could be causing a problem anyway) and change the category to one that’s valid in my own environment, or even if I remove that parameter completely – so I’m not entirely sure how you managed to get it working previously.
Without this starting point and without being able to see the code offered up in the other thread it’s really difficult to help.
So, since this sort of customization work in any case is generally outside the scope of what we can help with, unfortunately, I think on this occasion we’re going to have to bow out.
Sorry we can’t do more this time round.
