ParticipantIt works when I switch to the 2012 theme, but then not when I switch back. Deactivating and re-activating all plugins made no difference. I read something about it maybe being a JQuery version problem and I updated to the latest version, but still no success. Any suggestions (besides choosing a new theme)?

MemberHi billysob,
It looks like your theme is doing some interesting things with your URLs (note the way they are tranformed “hash bang” style with #! being prepended to the slug).
It looks like it’s tripping up over the event calendar’s URLs however – the #! being sort of inserted halfway – and in turn The Events Calendar may be tripping up over the modified URLs the theme is generating.
Unfortunately this sort of conflict is not something we’re going to be able to help with as this URL manipulation represents markedly different behaviour from what can reasonably be expected in a normal WordPress environment – and so you’d need to work with the theme author or a suitable developer to build a solution if you want them to gel nicely.
Sorry we can’t do more on this occasion.

ParticipantThanks for pointing me in the right direction. I’ll look into whether this is something I can turn off on the calendar pages.

MemberHi normking – please create a new thread of your own – it helps us to help you in the quickest possible fashion and avoids confusion 🙂
@billysob: I’m not sure in this case (given the nature of your theme) that there is too much more we can do here – but do you have any further questions / are you good if we close this thread? Thanks!

ParticipantI contacted the theme developer and they fixed the problem for me. I use Parallax by Themify. When I reported the problem, Themify’s response was:
Hi Billy,
This issue has been fixed. it will be released soon on next theme update.
Meanwhile you can download the fixes from link here https://gist.github.com/resarahman/7aed0c4403b843d98fc7
Download and replace your existing themify.script.js in the theme/js/ folder. Before replacing the script, It is also recommended that you need to upgrade your theme to the latest version 1.2.1
Let us know if this work for you.
Regards,
Maybe your theme creator is as helpful?
Yes, please close this thread.
