    I appreciate your reluctance to disable other plugins but that is probably the best way to determine if a conflict is at work (perhaps output compression and the use of iconv_* functions in another plugin are at the heart of the matter).

    Simply deactivating a plugin does not mean it will disappear, but we’d always recommend making a complete backup and of course being aware of how to restore the backup even so. Alternatively, why not create a new WordPress installation in a sub-directory and build things up from scratch. Start with just a default theme and our plugins, see if the problem occurs and – if not – begin adding everything else until it builds up to the point where it replicates your live site.

    Hope that helps – and if you can run through those steps (deactivating all other plugins) and let us know the results that would be awesome 🙂

    Hi vividimage,

    I see no reason why you couldn’t add additional columns – but this is very much a custom development issue and not something we can assist with. So, on this occasion, I’m afraid we’ll need to bow out and leave you to figure out the solution.

    Good luck!

    Hi uraaft,

    That doesn’t sound too good. Can I ask if you’ve tried our standard troubleshooting steps? Please:

    * Deactivate all other plugins except for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO
    * Switch to a default, unmodified theme like Twenty Twelve
    * Now test and see if the problem remains

    Thanks!

    Hi oheinrich,

    There are a number of useful helper functions you might use such as tribe_get_address() and tribe_get_organizer_email() – perusing our online docs is a great way to find functions like these.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi everyone,

    We’re sorry for the inconvenience. This does rather sound like a known bug and until we can roll out a definitive fix it may be worth trying the following workaround:

    Hope that helps!

    Hi Derek,

    For the grey line try adding a piece of CSS like this:

    .single-tribe_events #tribe-events-footer { border-top: none; }

    To avoid the overlap issue, can you also try adding these rules:

    #tribe-events-footer .tribe-events-sub-nav .tribe-events-nav-previous,
    #tribe-events-footer .tribe-events-sub-nav .tribe-events-nav-next {
    white-space: normal; width: 45%;
    }

    Let me know if that helps!

    Hi Derek, apologies for the long delay – I’m not sure how this slipped through the net but it may be Julie didn’t receive a notification. As you’ve opened a new thread for this problem I’ll close this one and see if I can help you out there.

    Thanks for your patience and support 🙂

    Hi africaatlanta!

    Development and testing is underway however I’m afraid we can’t offer even a tentative date for its release as it is subject to many factors – in light of which, we simply wouldn’t want to unfairly set expectations.

    Thanks for getting in touch 🙂

    Hi sapapaya01,

    Is there any special or custom code running in the case of those two pages and have you tried our standard troubleshooting steps?

    * Please deactivate all other plugins
    * Switch to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve
    * Test to see if the problem is resolved

    This is a great way to isolate any conflict. The error you are quoting suggests that the $wp_query global object has been overwritten, which could for instance be the result of some bad practices in other code.

    Thanks!

    Certainly. I’ll go ahead and close this thread though just to avoid confusion – but definitely create a new one when you’re ready 🙂

    Thanks!

    …and all plugins except EC and the RSS plugin deactivated.

    OK, so there is another plugin at work here, then (the “RSS plugin”)? If you deactivate that and view the feed for an event category is the problem resolved at that point?

    For reference, here’s an example of a typical category RSS URL (from our demo site): http://wpshindig.com/events/category/wordpress-meetups/feed/

    Not at all, thank you – and we’ll aim to sort this as quickly as we can. For the time being I’ll close this thread. Of course if anything else crops up do feel free to create new threads as needed 🙂

    Unfortunately it’s difficult for us to provide a window – but your code looks fine and is what I pictured when you described the change you had made initially. At least when testing on a default theme like Twenty Twelve it all looks fine to me – if you can explain why it doesn’t work for you / perhaps link to an example on a testing site that would be fantastic 🙂
