Thanks for bearing with us so far πŸ™‚

I used wp 2.9 and the calender 3.5.1 and pro 3.5.2

OK – I’m guessing that’s a typo as WordPress 2.9 certainly is not supported by our current releases (and I see the hallmarks of WordPress 3.9 when I view your source).

What I’m still unclear on, though, is why pretty permalinks are not viable for you and what problems are being caused when you utilize them – could you clarify this?

OK, thanks for giving that a shot – sounds like it did its job even if it didn’t directly impact on the problem at hand.

I do see that when you created the thread you noted having deactivated all other plugins and reverting to a default, unmodified theme – which are a solid set of troubleshooting steps, so thanks for giving them a try – but can you confirm if they had any impact on the problem and if you were consequently able to identify any conflicts with another plugin (or your theme) if so?

    Thanks!

    Hi drew1080,

Thanks first of all for investing in Events Calendar PRO and – by extension – The Events Calendar itself. The support you provide by purchasing a license is genuinely appreciated – so I’m sorry to hear that you got off to a rough start.

As you can appreciate, it’s difficult and would actually make for an extremely long product page to highlight the many nuances of each feature that ships with the plugin – but I’ll certainly raise this with the team and we’ll have a think about whether we should give more prominence to this limitation.

I’d like to stress though that it is far from our intention to be mislead and I would stand by the accuracy of the statement you quoted –

Give your users the option to export your events from WordPress into Google Calendar & iCal.

If a user wants to add an event to their (Google) calendar that is indeed facilitated … and do also note that Google Calendar is capable of importing iCal feeds if a customer desires to import more than just a single event.

All that to say, I appreciate you raising this concern and I will in turn take it to the team for review. Beyond that, we also maintain a feature request page over on UserVoice and you are absolutely welcome to use it, post requests and/or show your support for any existing requests:

    tribe.uservoice.com

Apologies again for any failings on our part and I hope all else goes smoothly πŸ™‚

    I’m sorry you’re facing difficulties.

So it sounds like the theme is the problem but I note you gave this thread the title of Plugin Conflict. Can you confirm that you’ve narrowed things down to just the theme, as opposed to a plugin?

If so, can you tell me which theme you are using/link to its homepage?

    Thanks!

    Hi Paul,

Sorry to hear you’re hitting difficulties here.

We have actually had reports of conflicts with MapPress (and the premium version of the same plugin, too, I believe) … with that in mind, would it be possible to kick things off by running through the following troubleshooting steps?

    • Please ensure The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO are up-to-date
    • Deactivate all other plugins (… in this case, of course, just MapPress if that’s the only other plugin present)
    • Switch to a default and completely unmodified theme (Twenty Thirteen is a great one to choose here)
    • Now see if the problem remains

If the problem is resolved, reactivate everything else one-at-a-time, testing at each stage to see if the problem has returned.

Does that help or at least enable you to identify any conflicts?

    Great!

I’ll close this thread – but we’ll do our best to re-open and post an update once the fix is ready to go (and of course the template override should tide you over in the meantime).

    Thanks again πŸ™‚

    Hi!

If you choose to list zero events below the calendar widget then that is indeed what happens – clicking on a date (though it has to be a date containing events) will take you to the relevant day view.

Would that work for you here?

Hi – I’m really sorry you’re facing difficulties here.

Can I please get a little priority on this issue?

We’re committed to helping all our customers as quickly as we can. That said, in delivering support we work to what we feel is a reasonable and achievable timetable and so it’s important to note it can take 24-48hrs before we can respond – often it is faster, but equally it can tend toward the latter end of that scale, particularly during times of peak activity.

To the problems at hand, it sounds like there might be two separate issues at work.

The first is an issue with a restriction on join sizes – if the approach you tried previously (is this the snippet you used?) didn’t work it may be that your host has essentially clamped things down here. If so, that’s definitely going to be a problem – but it would be worth talking to them and making some enquiries to confirm this (we’d also love it if you could share a note of who your hosting provider is).

There’s definitely something wrong with recurrences, there are about 30,000 events right now.

Did you update the PRO plugin recently? If so, please review this blog post and checkout the plugin it links to – it might help to bring things back under control.

    Does that help at all?

    Hi!

Microdata output is generated by our free, core plugin – however at this time we are investigating a couple of shortcomings in that particular part of the system with a view to making further improvements.

You can of course grab a copy of the free plugin and take it for a spin and see if it meets your needs πŸ™‚

    Hi!

Right now if you manually adjust orders (or remove them, etc) then manual adjustment of inventory is also required – and that really reflects our philosophy of interfering to the minimum possible extent with the underlying ecommerce platform (in this case, of course, WooCommerce).

With that said we’re certainly conscious that a number of customers want to be able to cleanly remove entries from the attendee list (rather than keeping them there, albeit marked as cancelled or refunded orders, as they currently are) and we’re working on that aspect right now.

Above and beyond that we welcome any further feature requests you might have that would make your life easier here.

Does that help/clarify the current situation?

    Thanks!

Hi everyone – very sorry for the delay in updating you here.

If you haven’t already seen it, please refer to this update post which describes how to use a cleanup plugin we created that can help with this issue (once you’ve updated to Events Calendar PRO 3.5.2).

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to let me know.

    Hi – I’m sorry you’re experiencing problems.

It does look very similar to the problem described in the other thread and it was indeed fixed for that specific case. Unfortunately, it looks like we missed this specific scenario (with photo view) and we’ll get this logged and address it as quickly as possible.

Thanks for reporting this – of course we’ll do our best to post an update in here once we’ve looked into it in more detail and potentially have a fix in hand πŸ™‚

Hi highcountry365 – really sorry you’re experiencing problems.

Has anything changed recently? Any updates to WordPress/your theme/other plugins or have you even updated The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO recently? If the latter is true, please do review this post in case the cleanup plugin is going to be needed in your case (as some users have experienced issues with duplicate recurring events which may be impacting).

Above and beyond that – though I see you indicated already having tried some troubleshooting steps including deactivating other plugins (thanks for giving it a try!) – I wonder if you could confirm if the problem persists if you follow these steps in their entirety:

    • Ensure The Events Calendar/Events Calendar PRO are up-to-date
    • Deactivate all other plugins
    • Switch to a default and completely unmodified theme such as Twenty Thirteen
    • Now check and see if the main events page is accessible

Let me know if that helps in any way πŸ™‚

    Hi Sean:

I think you’ve hit a bug there, I can replicate exactly the same thing and it may well be an issue with APM (Advanced Posts Manager, the library we use for this functionality).

I’ll get this reported and we’ll do our best to get a fix in the works as quickly as we can.

    Thanks for reporting πŸ™‚

    Hi Sam,

So I think you’re referring to the fact that if you have sold 5/20 tickets and then cancel an order for 3 of those, the sold count remains at 5/20 – is that correct?

If so that is currently expected behaviour (and, strictly in terms of how many were sold, regardless of cancellations – which do not always mean the person or persons will no longer be in attendance – is accurate). We do have some changes in the works though that will make it easier to completely remove entries from the attendee list and though I can’t unfortunately guarantee when those changes will roll out do know that we’re aware the current situation causes some amount of frustration and we plan to revise it.

    Does that clarify things?
