MemberOK. What I’d recommend, rather than trying to comment out the customizations, is disabling them completely and restoring the default templates – then check to see if the problem occurs under those conditions.
Honestly, I’m very reluctant to troubleshoot further with your custom templates in effect – they are structured in a pretty unusual way (in fact, it isn’t valid HTML) and I strongly suspect that is the root of this problem. Looking at this code, for example, which I pulled straight from one of the affected event pages on your site:
- After the table element opens you’ve got some div elements … though these are allowed within tables they have to be contained in something other than the “root” table element, such as a table cell (td element)
- Looking further down another table opens within the same table (table#event-listing-venue) – nothing wrong with that as such, but that inner table never closes
- There are then some closing div tags – my guess is they are intended to close the divs opened at the top of the table – but the browser can’t match them up because we’re still inside the inner table, which never closed
I hope those notes are useful – it definitely looks to me like the issue is with the structure of your custom templates and I don’t see anything to suggest the same problem would occur with our own default templates.

MemberHi Kyle,
I’m sorry to hear that.
As in my last request, though, since it looks like this is a dev/test site would it be possible for you to run through those steps afresh then leave it in that condition if the problem persists – so I can take a peek at the site (and our plugins) running under default conditions?
It would be fantastic if you could facilitate that.
Thanks!

MemberHi!
It hasn’t been developed just yet, no – it’s something we’re investigating rather than something we have already built (if you look at the UserVoice status for that request you can also see it’s only Under Review at this time rather than Completed).
Maybe we could do it ourselves. Is there a way to API in to do the redemption?
I don’t see why not – but it’s really something you’ll need to explore by yourself as it’s a comparatively advanced customization. Each ticketing addon (such as WooCommerce Tickets) does have a publicly accessible checkin() method and that’s likely to be of interest here when you write the code that handles the redemption.
Other than that, I wish you luck – sounds like a fun project 🙂

MemberHi!
So those are really two quite separate issues. Let me try to answer them both, but I’d suggest we concentrate on the possible bug with the settings menu in this thread and if you need further help with the calendar widgets issue beyond my answer, below, please go ahead and create a new thread – one of the team will then be only too happy to help 🙂
1. I can’t see the ‘Settings’ menu
Are we discussing the Events → Settings menu here? When I visit a site on a network for which The Events Calendar is activated I can see this without any difficulties. Is there any more information you can provide on this one?
- Is the plugin activated on an individual site, or has it been network activated?
- What user role are you logging in with when the Settings screen is absent?
2. On one of the blogs ( http://accessusergroups.org/access-web-apps/ ) the calendar widget doesn’t show upcoming events like it shows them on the main page http://accessusergroups.org/ . The calendar is there and dates are marked as having an event but it doesn’t actually show them below the calendar.
It actually seems to be behaving as I’d expect.
It only shows upcoming events taking place in whatever month it is set to display: today for instance is August 20 but there are no further events from today until the end of the month, so none will display.
Does that clarify things? If you do still need further help with regards to the calendar widget please do create a new thread – and we can continue to troubleshoot the multisite issue in this thread.
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi – fantastic question 🙂
That’s certainly a possibility (and one we’re actually investigating ourselves) – however it would be a sufficiently advanced customization that we cannot really help you with it here in the support forum.
This happens to be a pretty popular feature request and I’d encourage you to add your support by upvoting the idea.
Thanks again!

MemberHi – great question! Does this article help? If you only wish to apply this behaviour to free orders you might have to extend it a little to meet your needs, but it should certainly get you started in the right direction 🙂
Barry
MemberHi!
Currently they do not, however:
- We’re actively investigating the addition of QR codes to all of our ticketing plugins
- They are all highly customizable and so this is certainly something you could accomplish with an amount of customization work
Does that answer your question?

MemberHi!
It sounds like you may well have seen these threads (and the corresponding plugin by Andy Fragen) but just in case you did not:
- wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-outlook-import-fix
- tri.be/support/forums/topic/ical-import-how-do-we-get-it-to-add-event-to-an-existing-calendar-in-outlook-2
- tri.be/support/forums/topic/ical-single-event-import-file-creates-new-calendar
There’s not too much more I can really add here, and Andy’s plugin could well be a fast and easy solution for this issue (and will avoid the need for you to modify core plugin code).
Does that help?

MemberHi – great question!
While this wasn’t a design goal it should certainly be feasible with a small customization or two 🙂
WooCommerce Tickets (and indeed all of our events plugins) are built with customizability in mind and you could certainly adapt the ticket form to show/hide different tickets according to some criteria such as a property of the currently logged in user’s account.
Does that answer your question?

MemberHi Josh,
So the first thing here is to determine if this is a configuration issue with EDD or a problem caused by EDD Tickets.
Can you set up a regular EDD product or “download” and make a test purchase – and does the same problem occur then? If so, I’d suspect this is a set-up issue or possibly a problem with the payment gateway and you’d be better placed by seeking support from easydigitaldownloads.com.
Of course if you find the opposite – and the problem is limited to ticket products – just let me know, however EDD Tickets doesn’t actually interfere in the purchase or payment processes and this is all delegated to the actual ecommerce platform (which is, of course, Easy Digital Downloads in this particular case).
Does that help?

MemberUnfortunately we missed some replies – please accept our apologies on that count. Right now though we are only notified when the original poster updates the thread: for that reason it is always best to create a new thread of your own. With that in mind and also because quite a lot of time has passed at this point I will go ahead and close the thread – but if you still need help please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed. Thanks again!
