    Hi maquina,

    We can’t go in to too much depth for customization issues like this, but might you be able to leverage jQuery for this purpose?

    Barry, Google Maps controls view are now ok!!
    Thank you!

    Awesome!

    And for the “Start” date-time event (see this link) that doesn’t appear?

    Again, your theme’s stylesheet is getting in the way here. Try adding a further custom CSS rule:

    .tribe-events-meta-group.tribe-events-meta-group-details .updated {
         display: block;
    }

    I hope that helps – but please remember we do try to stick to one issue per thread, so if you need further assistance on that one please create a new thread and one of the team will be happy to help 🙂

    Since it sounds like we’re all good with Google Maps I’ll go ahead and close this thread – thanks again!

    Hi Phil,

    Thanks for your patience.

    The problem I think is that all of those events are set to start at midnight and end at midnight. Coupled with an end-of-day cutoff setting (of midnight) that’s confusing things.

    Do these events truly start at midnight and run without a defined end time – which is essentially what that suggests – or should they be marked as all day events or else have defined times like starts at 9am and ends at 5pm?

    Though there’s certainly an issue for us to address here – because, I guess, you should be able to have an event start at midnight and not define and end time – it seems like something we should be able to address in the short term by assigning actual start/end times.

    Would that be possible here? Could it be your imported CSV data didn’t include this information or else it wasn’t it an understandable format?

    Hi diallo,

    I’ll try my best to summarize but it’s well worth bearing in mind that a lot depends on the abilities and product-knowledge of the developer implementing these changes 🙂

    – Configure Events w/ limited number of “Reserve Tickets” (i.e. Pre-Order/Early Bird). Charges are “Authorize” only until all of these ticket types are sold.
    – After final above ticket type is sold, “Buy Tickets” option is AUTO-enabled, and remaining tickets sold as “Authorize & Capture” charges.

    So you’d probably need to customize both the ecommerce plugin (to authorize but not complete some orders and to automatically authorize and capture others). This may be simple – for instance, setting WooCommerce to auto-complete orders is pretty easy – but I’m not in the very best position to guide you as it really relates to someone else’s product.

    To selectively show and hide different ticket types is definitely possible and I wouldn’t count it as a particularly advanced customization.

    – Display number of tickets sold/remaining.

    Not hard – and in fact there are existing examples of doing just this on our forums 🙂

    – Display progress bar showing how close to being sold out.
    – Display countdown timer of time left to purchase Reserve Tickets (Early Bird).
    – Display deadline for Buy Now (standard) Tickets
    – Admin acct/page for Venues to view/print list of attendees, update venue photos, etc.

    Obtaining the stock levels is pretty straightforward – the logic for doing this is part and parcel of displaying the number of tickets that remain – but much of these last 4 points are customizations that you’d be building from scratch.

    You could certainly get creative and post a calendar event marking the end of early-bird tickets for specific events then use our countdown widget, for example, but if for any reason that’s unsuitable then you’d basically be implementing your own.

    All that to say, what you are outlining is absolutely possible and our own plugins are every bit as customizable as you need them to be: but I can’t speak for other plugins (such as WooCommerce) or more particularly for add-ons for other plugins (such as a particular payment gateway).

    I do hope that gives you some ideas though – and hope to see you across on our WooCommerce Tickets forums soon 🙂

    So long as it’s working, great to hear 🙂

    What I’ll do is go ahead and close this thread – but of course if this crops up again or we can help with anything else please don’t hesitate to create a new thread and one of the team will be happy to assist.

    Last but not least, we’re always interested in hearing about our users’ experiences with The Events Calendar and if you’d like to share your thoughts via our plugin review page we’d love to hear from you – thanks again!

    Hi David,

    Sorry we missed your thread – we actually marked the thread as closed though a problem in our forum software meant it was still open for you to add a reply. As it has been marked as closed, however, it still wasn’t flagged up as being in need of a further reply.

    All that to say – apologies for the delay in responding! It wasn’t by any means intentional and I hope we haven’t lost your interest 🙂

    Essentially, yes, what you’re describing ought to be possible. Our own plugins are supremely customizable so though you’d most likely need to make a few changes you will be able to do so safely and with confidence.

    I hope that answers your question but let me know if we can assist with anything else.

    Thanks!

    Hi magpivo,

    Apologies first of all for the delay in replying – for some reason (a bug on our side) the thread wasn’t flagged as being in need of a follow-up.

    I do see what you mean and that’s an interesting idea about making it behave a bit like an Excel spreadsheet cell – but what you are requesting is actually quite a complex customization.

    In this sort of scenario and given the brevity of some of your events, plus your wish to stick with the same font, might it be the case that week view (at least in its current form) isn’t an ideal choice? In other words, could we consider sticking to other views in this situation?

    One of the reasons we ship so many different event views is to let you pick the ones that work best for your particular use-case: so, if week view isn’t working out for you, it may be worth considering instead the views that will most readily communicate your schedule to site visitors.

    I do also want to note that we are thinking of revising week view in the future, so longer term this may cease to be a problem, but right now I’m not sure there is too much more we can do for you with this particular issue.

    Of course we’re completely open to any further feedback you may have 🙂

    Hi!

    At this point, we actually have mobile styling baked in – so in most cases you need do nothing but activate the latest version of our plugin 🙂

    If you hit any difficulties with this please do create a support thread either here on our PRO forums (if you have a valid license) or else across on our wordpress.org forums.

    Thanks again!
