MemberHi Emmanuelle,
I’m sorry you’re experiencing difficulties.
We do try to stick to one issue per thread, so let’s deal with the date search problem first of all (and if you can create a new thread for any other issues that would be appreciated) π
when I search for events by date, for example, on December 31, it just shows me one event while there are many. the search bar doesnβt work, the same for search by location β¦
Can you provide a few more details or even copy and paste the URL in here so I can see the problem? For instance, if I visit:
.../evenements/?action=tribe_list&tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=list&tribe-bar-date=2014-12-31
I see a range of events, not just one. I also note you don’t seem to have day view enabled, so I’m not quite sure what the problem is exactly.

MemberIf it’s causing a problem it would be best to avoid it.
I actually wrote it as an unofficial project a while back and will make a note to look into this, however for the time being I’d recommend leaving it deactivated.

MemberDefinitely, us too: some more work needs to be done to make sure we’ve got comprehensive coverage there (now this new site is live) but we are working on it!
I’ll go ahead and close this thread as there’s not too much more I can offer right at this point, but please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed if we can help with anything else π
Barry
MemberDefinitely: it sounds like it could in some ways be a natural fit for the problem and this isn’t something we see when our core products are running by themselves, so eliminating that possibility is a good way to go here.
Let me know how you get on!

MemberSo you noted having deactivated all other plugins when you opened this thread: did you find that the problem continued when The Events Calendar Housekeeper in particular was deactivated?
If deactivating that resolves the problem can you confirm if it was “misfiring” and removing events outside of the scope specified in its settings?

MemberHi there Joe,
Definitely possible!
That said, the sort of work flow you’re seeking isn’t quite facilitated “out of the box” and it would certainly require some custom development work to put together the sort of solution it sounds like you are trying to build.
The three plugins you mentioned would certainly combine to provide a solid platform for this work, but an amount of work would be needed to “wire things up”.
I hope that helps π

MemberHi Nancy,
I’d be happy to offer up a pointer but this is really custom development territory so though we’d love to help in more detail I’m afraid this is the sort of thing you’re really going to need to drive forward by yourself.
That said, it sounds as if your new class simply hasn’t been defined (perhaps the class file itself hasn’t been loaded).
I added the filters inside the folder /events/lib/filters/TribeEventsFilter_EventType.php
So if this is in a custom plugin are you certain it has been activated? If so, have you included or required the above file?
I’m not too clear on why you instantiate it from your theme rather than the same plugin, but if you have to do this then perhaps as an added precaution you should “guard” things by testing to see if the class exists first of all (since if the plugin was inadvertently deactivated you’d end up with a crash inducing fatal-error, which isn’t ideal π ).
I hope that helps – and good luck π

MemberHi!
We ship The Events Calendar complete with minified CSS and JS. Unfortunately, some minification tools don’t play too nicely with code that has already been minified, resulting in breakages.
The best advice here is, if possible, to set up exceptions so that any files belonging to The Events Calendar (or other related plugins) are not minified a second time.
If you’re sure the problem is only with CSS then it may be that you only need to set up exceptions for those assets and not the JS.
I hope that helps π

MemberNo problem at all – great that it fixes the problem π
Of course, until the same change is made in a future revision of that other plugin you would need to manually restore that fix with each update (though hopefully they make a substantive fix sooner rather than later and save you the trouble).
At this point I’ll go ahead and close this topic – but if we can help with anything else please don’t hesitate to create new topics and we’ll be happy to help.
Thanks again!
Barry
MemberCould you share your system information (normally found at the bottom of the Events > Help admin screen)? Thanks!
Barry
MemberFantastic π
I’ll go ahead and close this topic in that case, but if we can help with anything else that might crop up please don’t hesitate to open new topics as needed and one of the team will be happy to help you.
Thanks again!
