Hey Francisco. You mean the list in the sidebar right? If you are comfortable working with CSS you could drop in a new rule to help with this one. Here’s an example: http://pastebin.com/QaawDsiV

Hey Francisco, if you take a look at the General tab on the Events Settings page and scroll down to the bottom is the Debug Mode checkbox checked?

If so, simply uncheck this and save the changes – this is just a system to help with troubleshooting.

Ahh … ok. I’ve got a better idea of what you are doing now.

Unfortunately however I can’t really offer a great deal of further assistance – this isn’t a bug as such and so far as I can see everything works as expected under normal conditions.

For instance, if you view “Category Two” at http://development.hccwebstudios.com/events/category/category-two/ and then click on the next-month link it takes you to http://development.hccwebstudios.com/events/category/category-two/2012-09 as expected. The problem exists only within your customized template at http://development.hccwebstudios.com/calendar-page/ … which isn’t really anything to do a problem in The Events Calendar itself.

The only direction I can really provide if you absolutely need to embed the calendar within a page template in this way is to either handle forming the previous/next month links through your own code or look at using hooks such as tribe_get_single_option to modify the eventsSlug option.

I’m sorry we can’t assist any further, but I do wish you luck and if you come up with any natty solutions do feel free to post them here and share them with the community 🙂

Hey Damian, thanks for getting in touch. Could this http://pastebin.com/Pb4CTGin be the relevant section of code you are looking for (in the list.php template)?

You could try commenting it out or deleting it and see if that achieves the effect you are looking for.

A few people have reported an issue like this in the past (the month in the dropdown being one month behind) however I am under the impression that this issue was solved; can I ask if you are you running the latest version of the plugin (2.0.8)? If not, it may be worth upgrading and then testing to see if this problem persists.

If it does persist you could always try out the advice offered up by Steve in this thread – and of course please do not hesitate to let us know that it is still a problem, we’ll do our best to help you out.

Regarding making the current month more prominent, this is a customization that could be achieved by playing around with the theme templates. So the first step would be to read up on the Themer’s Guide and familiarize yourself with some of the concepts described there.

As a starting point, you might want to look at the tribe_get_displayed_month() template tag. You could use this within your theme’s gridview.php template for instance to make it absolutely clear which month the visitor is viewing.

    I hope that helps!

Yep, I guess navigating to events via the calendar is often easier than trying to locate an event through the list provided on the admin-side, particularly when a large number of events are being managed.

In any case, hopefully we can get this one squared away for you by the next release – thanks again for bringing this to our attention 🙂

Hi Michael – no problem – if you could send anything to help me get a better grasp of this issue then that would be great. Our email address is [email protected] – if you put “FAO Barry” in the email subject field that would be great 🙂

Look forward to hearing from you!

Hi Andrew, thanks for getting in touch – and I am sorry to hear you are experiencing some difficulties here.

If I view the calendar for a specific category the URL will be something like: mysite.com/events/category/sample-category/ and I will of course see all events within that category in the current month.

If I then click on the link for the following month (let’s say that is September 2012) I stay within the same category and the URL that I am taken to is: mysite.com/events/category/sample-category/2012-09 … so there doesn’t seem to be a problem so far as I can see.

Can I ask you to confirm if this is what you are experiencing (or if I am misunderstanding) and what version of the plugin you are currently using?

    Thanks!
