Barry
MemberHi Fred, so one of the problems here is that WordPress has far wider support for timezones than does Eventbrite and broadly speaking we would need to introduce code that mediates between the two.
We’re hoping to get something together which should be delivered in a future maintenance release – so though I can’t really provide even a rough timeline for this it is definitely on the radar and for the time being all I can suggest is manually correcting events.

MemberHi Matt, thanks for your patience while I tested this out.
The description works if we switch to a “built in” template layout, but not if we use the wide “Default Events Template” .
Using the Default Events Template and with Graphene V2 1.4.1 activated I am able to see the description for single events.
So though I note you stated that you tried deactivating all other plugins when you opened this thread could I ask you to confirm this and let me know if there is anything else I would need to put in place to replicate the problem?
Barry
MemberThanks very much for the feedback: I’m now passing this over to our developers for further assistance and I’ll keep you posted here (or they may even do so directly).
Thanks for your continued patience and support.
Barry
MemberHi Alexis, I could be wrong but I don’t think that is being generated by an Events Calendar view/template, so you would need to make an amendment to whichever theme template is being used.
Barry
MemberNo problem – happy to have helped!
Barry
MemberThanks David – so again for the time being I would recommend not using this feature, certainly until our developers can get a handle on whatever is causing the problem.
I do appreciate you taking the time to reply – it really does help us.

MemberImporting an event from Eventbrite is as simple as logging in and navigating to Events > Import Events, punching in the Eventbrite ID and hitting “go”. Does that help here?
Barry
MemberTo be honest I’m not entirely clear what you are after here:
If this is a single day event, only display the start date.
else if this is a multi day event display start and end date. That’s what the above template code does – if an event takes place and ends on the same day it shows only the start date. If an event takes place and ends two days later it shows the start and the end date.
I want to show the start and end date if it is a multiple day event. If it is a single day event, I want to show both.
So this is confusing me – do you actually mean you want to show both the start and end dates for single events?
Barry
MemberHi Ray – is deleting the existing event (in your WP installation) and re-importing from Eventbrite an option here?
Barry
MemberDavid, Webotools, Jeremy and anyone else experiencing this: have any of you experienced this same problem in a situation where the Hide from Upcoming Events List feature was not used? If so it would be great to hear about the circumstances so we can build a more complete picture of this.
After chatting to my colleagues though what I would have to recommend is that use of that feature (Hide from Upcoming Events List) be avoided as it is clearly one cause of this undesirable behaviour.

MemberHi Dawn/Kim!
I’m not sure why this topic was closed (possibly it happened automatically after a certain amount of time with no further posts) however I have now re-opened it – it just makes it easier to keep things all in one place.
> Also, I tried to update the calendar to 2.0.9 version but when I open WP it says that all plugins are up to date and I don’t see where to update it on the plug in itself?
So if you login to your WP dashboard and view the list of Plugins you should see a version number under each plugin. If The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO are already at 2.0.9 then we’re all good and you need take no further action in this regard.

Yep, that looks like the culprit.
Here’s the thing – that looks like it relates to a much older version of our plugin, hence it is causing the fatal error. So what we need to do is replace this with the latest version of events/table.php.
If you’ve successfully updated to 2.0.9 (and I think you might have done) then the idea is to copy this file:
wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/table.php
And place it in your theme’s events folder:
wp-content/themes/YOUR_THEME/events/table.php
If it helps, this is how table.php should look: http://pastebin.com/1J8R9FYv

MemberHi Heinz! This is a known bug and we’re definitely sorry for the inconvenience that has been caused for you and other users – we are striving to fix this unintended behaviour in our forthcoming release.
For the time being, it’s really a matter of backing up or manually noting your settings 🙁
Barry
MemberAs a temporary workaround for this issue, those who are feeling bold could swap out the contents of this file:
wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/resources/events-admin.js
With the code contained here: http://pastebin.com/YYBviMea
This does not solve the basic problem but it should allow you to save changes to events which have become “detached” from the chain of recurring events instead of seeing the spinning loader icon as currently happens.
Back-up the existing file first of all and restore it if you have any problems – this is really an emergency measure and the best course of action is to wait for a definitive fix by the dev team.
Barry
MemberThanks Leah. So there are definitely some strange issues underpinning this (our references #17868 and #18411) and this is going to require further work from the dev team – I do appreciate this dates back to August 29 but I can promise we are actively investigating this and will keep you posted.
Barry
MemberHi webotools – this seems to be the same issue described latterly here:
So we’ll keep the discussion going there just for clarity.
