Actually, one other thought is you could try and manipulate the thumbnail size to something larger via WordPress’s Settings > Media screen – however I’m not sure if the change would be reflected ‘retrospectively’ where images have already been uploaded.

It would also affect all thumbnails across the entire site. You could certainly give it a try, though.

jpehrier: those steps recommended by hometownchatter are pretty much the same steps I would recommend – they are definitely the simplest I can think of.

I do appreciate your reluctance to edit code however there are no user interface options are built in to WordPress or our plugin(s) that can help you here, so you would either have to give it a go (and let us know if you need help along the way and we’ll do what we can to guide you) or else work with a suitable designer/developer – or just run with the out-of-the-box appearance.

Again, if anything in particular is puzzling please do feel free to ask (and do take the time to read our documentation and tutorials).

I don’t have any particular knowledge of Fishpig though I’ve seen it in at least one other thread, one of which I think you also participated in: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/event-calendar-pro-doesnt-work-with-fishpig/

In that particular thread I don’t think we determined if it was a compatibility issue with Fishpig or not as there was no further follow-up.

All I can really say is the our plugins are built to work with regular WordPress installations first and foremost: if other platforms/tools can somehow wrap up and integrate WordPress then it’s really their job to resolve any compatibility issues (though we are of course open to any feedback where we might improve compatibility if it can be demonstrated that our plugin is doing something non-standard that is creating an issue).

OK, we’ll certainly look into it – there are limits to how far we can support integration with other plugins, even popular ones like Jetpack (especially as it does work under default circumstances – with a default theme and the default events template, for instance).

But we’ll definitely look at this and see what else we can do here.

You’re still set up so that the Default Events Template is in use right? I’m not sure why that wouldn’t be working … can you try deactivating other plugins and switching to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve and test if it works then?

The template you would be interested in here is probably table.php and you could find and replace the display_day() function with this alternative code as a starting point, which should limit each cell to 3 events.

One other note – I also noticed some items that worried me a little like this Javascript file:

It could be benign, however it looked not unlike the sort of thing we see on sites that have been compromised. On scanning your site using the free tools at Securi:

It also seems there may be a problem as your site has been blacklisted, so you may wish to seek assistance on that end (this may or may not have a connection to your original issue but I thought it best to make you aware 🙂 ).

I see – it looks as though something is hiding them after they load, possibly your theme or another plugin. Can you try our standard troubleshooting steps simply to try and isolate which item is causing this (if any)?

• Please ensure that your Modern Tribe plugins are up-to-date and in-synch … for instance if you are using The Events Calendar 2.0.11 you must also use Events Calendar PRO 2.0.11 (and in your case Community Events 1.0.5)
• Deactivate all other plugins and change your theme to a default, unmodified one such as Twenty Eleven or Twenty Twelve
• Now test to see if the problem still exists
• If the problem has been solved by these steps, start reactivating everything one-at-a-time, testing at each point to see if the issue has returned
• If the issue does return, take note of whichever plugin (or theme) you reactivated immediately before it started again – it’s likely there is a conflict with this item
