Thank you Brendan.
October 9, 2018 at 2:50 am in reply to: Getting the default RSVP value to be 1 and not zero? #1639890James O’SullivanParticipantThank you very much. That worked great for RSVP. How would I do it for the woocommerce tickets option? Which file to I need to copy over to my child theme basically.
Thanks,
JamesJames O’SullivanParticipantThanks Courtney for the response here. I assume there is a way to let Google know this is a false alarm as my fear is they are penalizing the site as a result of these errors. Maybe when your developers know more you can update us on this issue. Thanks in advance
September 17, 2018 at 7:11 am in reply to: Make sure no order email is sent from woocommerce when the ticket is free? #1623312James O’SullivanParticipantThanks for the response Sky I appreciate that. So if I use the RSVP instead of ticket – does the end use still get the bar code email where I can check their attendance in at the event etc?
August 3, 2018 at 8:50 am in reply to: Does a cancelled event send out notificiations at all to attendees? #1589601James O’SullivanParticipantHi Victor, ok I understand. I was hoping their was some kind of functionality to help with the cancellation of events as my site will ultimately run workshops and they tend to chop and change frequently depending on the popularity of them as we need a certain number of attendees before an event is viable. Ok I might look to see what a work around might be. Thanks
James O’SullivanParticipantHi Victor, ah ok, sorry, I assumed their were reminders that were sent out to users before their event takes place. So right now no functionality exists for reminders at all on Events calendar Pro if I understand this correctly. Is there any work around for this as this would be a major limitation for me due to so many people chopping and changing their schedules for events. Thanks
February 13, 2018 at 6:55 am in reply to: If an event capacity limit is reached is there a waiting list function? #1451643James O’SullivanParticipantNo problem Victor. Would be nice to see this functionality in future editions. Thanks for the advice here also.

May 22, 2017 at 9:09 am in reply to: Adding a field in the backend to allow a user post a url to create a button? #1287122James O’SullivanParticipantOk so I had a look at the if statement and for some reason it keeps throwing an error so I decided to try this one here and it works
<?php $event_id = get_the_ID(); $book_now_link = get_post_meta( $event_id, 'book_now_link', true ); $book_now_text = get_post_meta( $event_id, 'book_now_text', true ); if ( (!empty ( $book_now_link )) && (!empty ( $book_now_text )) ) : ?> <a class="button" href="<?php echo esc_url( $book_now_link );?>"> <?php echo esc_html( $book_now_text );?> </a> <?php endif; ?>
May 18, 2017 at 9:15 am in reply to: Adding a field in the backend to allow a user post a url to create a button? #1285588James O’SullivanParticipantHI Trisha,
This is fantastic and much appreciated. I think this is super useful and really helpful for all kinds of bits and pieces people would like to add to the site.I am having a little bit of issue with the last step when I add the snippet to the file: the-events-calendar/src/views/modules/meta/organizer.php
Basically I get this here: https://cl.ly/15063E2J2g3A and of course an error.
Now when I remove the opening <?php and the closing <?php endif; ?> I then get this on the site here: https://cl.ly/1X2N1J213R2G
Maybe you could let me know what I am doing wrong in this snippet on the last line of organizer.php
Thanks again,
May 8, 2017 at 9:34 am in reply to: Adding a field in the backend to allow a user post a url to create a button? #1280310James O’SullivanParticipantThank you, it kinda helps me here but it would be a little nicer to have the link hidden and just a button present itself here. Basically I am looking to have something visible and easy for my site contributors to update. Right now that would just be a link and for a book now facility it should really be a little more “stand out” if that makes sense. Is it easy to add some css here to turn this into a button for example? Or is that too much customization for a support thread? Thanks
March 31, 2017 at 4:35 am in reply to: Showing a little description of the event in the List event widget? #1262505James O’SullivanParticipantThanks Hunter, yes I am looking for a way for the shortcode to pull in a small piece of the excerpt to as you highlight. I think your colleague George is referring to getting shortcodes to work in the excerpt area of WordPress and that solution is handy but not what I am looking for here.
I appreciate you flagging this with the rest of the team there and hopefully it can be made available soon in general.
February 24, 2017 at 8:58 am in reply to: Recurring event exclusion is not excluding as far as I can tell? #1245329James O’SullivanParticipantThanks Cliff, I have alot of events that run Monday to Friday but not weekends and this really confused me until now so glad this has been found. It’s just not intuitive albeit now that I know how I get it but would be nice to have this kid proof for the likes of me 😉
Looking forward to the update.
