James O’SullivanParticipant
Hi geoff, the tutorial on how to remove the Addons menu was enough to get me through here. Thanks
James O’SullivanParticipantGreat look forward to the update Brian. It needs it for those of use outside the US 😉
James O’SullivanParticipantLet me answer my own question with this plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/event-rocket/ which adds in coordinate fields into the venue area and allows a little more accuracy here. It would be nice to see this in the native pro plugin of course as a more elegant way of doing this.
James O’SullivanParticipant@geoff, I guess its not integrated then as you say. I think the wootickets needs multiple names support and also the barcode support if its to really get up there. Hopefully as you say the overhaul is not to far away and we can enjoy the update soon. I think some of these features here would be great: http://tickera.com/
Thanks
November 13, 2014 at 3:12 am in reply to: Page Builder and Tribe Events widgets not working together? #881719James O’SullivanParticipantHi geoff, we have done some research here on the calendar pro widgets specifically and this is what we found:
“There is a “calendar-widget-admin.js” inside the Calendar Pro, in the code it uses “#widgets-right” and “.widget-content” that are selectors specific to widget screen only. There may be more like this in other files.”
Can you confirm this for us? because if this is the case then the widgets are indeed specific to the Appearance > Widgets area and we are stuck then in using them anywhere else. Thanks for your time.
November 11, 2014 at 2:26 pm in reply to: Page Builder and Tribe Events widgets not working together? #877491James O’SullivanParticipantThanks for the prompt reply Geoff, unfortunately I am stuck here a little with the Page Builder and on my homepage do not have the option to create a sidebar widget are so I am stuck within the widget area provider by Page Builder. Can I ask if there is any function/snippet to force an “Events List” widget to work on a page or post.
I think the main issue is that even though the widgets are supposed to work within Appearance > Widgets there are ways to code them in such a way to make them more flexible to be used inside pages and posts also. I am just reaching for a solution somehow.
November 11, 2014 at 1:44 pm in reply to: Page Builder and Tribe Events widgets not working together? #877384James O’SullivanParticipantI found this here: https://siteorigin.com/thread/certain-widgets-not-properly-working-in-page-builder/ maybe there is some reaching out that can be done here to see if there is any work around possible?
James O’SullivanParticipant@Barry, it would be super to base this off a tag, so for example you place a tag on an event to say “featured” and then it would pop into the main Blog loop then for example. Do you know of anyone in the forums or anyone in your partners who have done something like this already and could master this on our example, I do not mind if its a paid job just trying to get an idea of costs here as this is something we possible will need in the future regardless of now. I like the feature that is there currently, but it is an all or nothing feature as you know so therefore we have to switch it off unfortunately and try and look at something like the tag doing this. I think others would certainly benefit from the all or nothing feature being developed to include tags or something a little more flexible to be honest so hopefully in the future releases you guys consider something like this. Thanks
July 23, 2014 at 7:00 am in reply to: Styling the View My Events table a little better in the community addon #488573James O’SullivanParticipantCheers Brook, this really got me going in the right direction. I ended up using something like this actually in my child theme css:
.my-events th.essential, .my-events td.essential { padding: 10px !important; }Just incase this helps anyone else, I just wanted to get rid of the crushing effect in this table really, other than that the styling is fine and I understand completely you guys keeping this as clean as possible. I just need that extra little bit of 5px or 10px cell spacing. Appreciate this and the great support. Thank you kindly sir once more 😉
July 16, 2014 at 12:21 am in reply to: How to get the actual year to show in the calendar date area along side the date #406353James O’SullivanParticipantHi Casey, thank you kindly this indeed did the trick, I was not aware these format changes would impact the titles so thank you for pointing me in the right direction here. Thanks again.
July 15, 2014 at 7:51 am in reply to: How to get the actual year to show in the calendar date area along side the date #394497James O’SullivanParticipantHi Casey unfortunately yes and that has no impact on the title date of the single event unfortunately. It will still just show with the date of month and day rather than year and month and day.
James O’SullivanParticipantThanks Barry, workaround is keeping me going for now Thanks. Look forward to the update.
James O’SullivanParticipantI have the same issues, the 3.2 version of events calendar completely stops tags from working. Need a fix asap on this as its a real bug in the core workings of WordPress
James O’SullivanParticipantLet me just update this myself by saying I fixed this issue by using a custom functions explained in this post here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/cant-increase-number-of-events-in-loop/#post-27191
Sorry about not finding this post sooner and posting to soon. -
