ParticipantHI there, currently if you look up any event it will have a title on the single event page like this one here: http://www.europeanmovement.ie/event/european-parliament-plenary-session-strasbourg-6/ and as you can see it will say something like July 1-3 however I want it to say July 2014 1-3 because each year when people google these and old events show in the google searches people get confused. So I really would love a way to put a year displaying here? I do not want to add it to the title because then one of the people submitting the event always forgets this and again leads to confusion. To rule out any confustion I need to print the year on these titles? How is this done? thanks for your time.

ParticipantJames,
Thanks for getting in touch! Have you tried customizing the Date Format settings to do this? Try going to ‘Events->Settings->Display’ and looking for the ‘Date Format Settings’ section.Give that a try and let me know if it does the trick. Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantHi Casey unfortunately yes and that has no impact on the title date of the single event unfortunately. It will still just show with the date of month and day rather than year and month and day.

ParticipantJames,
Try modifying the ‘Date without Year’ format to look like this: http://grab.by/yBbI. After I changed my settings to that, I was able to see the year in the title: http://grab.by/yBcwIf you want to further customize the date format on a single event page, take a look at our documentation for the tribe_events_event_schedule_details() function, which is controlling the date display there.
Hope that helps! Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantHi Casey, thank you kindly this indeed did the trick, I was not aware these format changes would impact the titles so thank you for pointing me in the right direction here. Thanks again.

ParticipantGreat! Thanks for confirming that this got you sorted. Since it looks like you’re all set, I’m going to mark this thread “Answered” and close it out.
By the way, if you have a minute or two, we would love it if you’d write a few words for us here: http://m.tri.be/lo
Thanks in advance. 🙂
