BartParticipant
Hi,
we did change the language of our WP.
issue 1) missing featured images of events in Search Results. I have no idea if this is a recent issue or one that was always there.
issue 2) that will probably be directly related to changing the language of our WP
issue 3) this issue we have regularly ever since using The Events Calendar. Don’t know what causes it, sometimes it goes away by itself. Resaving Permalinks sometimes does have an effect.
issue 4) that’s a strange one. We do have some custom code to change the calendar (provided via this forum).
BartParticipantok, thanks.
While the plugin license is now valid, there’s still this error all over our backend. How do we get rid of it?
BartParticipantI spoke too soon:
1) Besides Featured Images missing from Events that show up in Search results, we have the following issues.
2) when clicking on a specific date on our calendar, the previous and next events links are no longer in Dutch, but in English. You can test this here https://www.wtnschp.be/events/
3) The links to show our calendar in different formats does not work:
Week – works
List, Month, Map – link to the homepage
Photo – links to one of our posts.4) The title of our calendar has gone missing. Not sure how we can bring it back?
BartParticipantWe have this blog for over 4 years, we can’t change the URL of hundreds of posts just to test some bug.
Anyway, we haven’t changed anything and the slug has changed back to “Event” by itself. Very weird.
Now, I do see that the featured images of events are missing in the search results. Can we fix this?
BartParticipantI can’t replicate the error anymore. Now, it says “licence key updated” when I fill out the license key in Event Settings. It does not show up however. But at least the plugin seems to be reactivated.
Can we apply for a refund if Facebook functionality does not work anymore?
BartParticipantWill this affect all URL’s of my existing posts and pages?
BartParticipantMy license for The Events Calendar Pro is working (it’s valid according to the license tab) but still I get this error in the Plugins section.
Other issues include mentioning an update if there’s no update, and the failure to upgrade to a newer version. It’s just very annoying there’s always something with the status of this plugin.
Also, the link “What’s new” which is really handy to see which changes are included in the update, has never worked. In our case it points to https://www.wtnschp.be/wp-admin/plugin-install.php?tab=plugin-information&plugin=events-calendar-pro&TB_iframe=true&width=640&height=808

BartParticipantok. I updated our license and this seem to have fixed the issue (besides the Multisites issue where even the latest version will still be listed as outdated.
BartParticipantHi, without doing anything except updating to WP 4.9 and the latest version of The Events Calendar, this issue has been resolved.
Strangely enough, we now lost the right sidebar (while we have not changed the template in Events settings; it’s still “Default Page Template”).
BartParticipantWe do not have any redirects. But we are aware that a non-existing page always redirect to the homepage, and are looking into this. Maybe this is caused by our caching.
But we don’t have any other customisations or development done to the site. It’s just the theme and some plugins like The Events Calendar. So there’s not much to verify.
I did create a new empty WordPress site on our WP multisite with the Events Calendar and the same problem immediately occurs. So I’m not sure it’s either a configuration issue with our server, or a compatibility issue between Events Calendar and WP multisite. Could it be related to WP Multisite? I’m aware your plugin has other issues with that.

BartParticipantAlso, these are the rewrite rules for our main calendar page:
array (
‘(?:events)/?$’ => ‘index.php?post_type=tribe_events&eventDisplay=default’,
‘(.?.+?)(?:/([0-9]+))?/?$’ => ‘index.php?pagename=$matches[1]&page=$matches[2]’,
‘(.+?)/?$’ => ‘index.php?category_name=$matches[1]’,
)No idea as this is ok or not.

BartParticipantHi,
I have disabled the Redirection plugin, checked rewrite rules, resaved Permalinks and even changed the events slug to events2. Nothing helps.
The view links in the calendar remain http://www.wtnschp.be/events2/#
But now, I changed back the slug to events and guess what, the calendar does not work anymore. At all. For the millionth time.
If every plugin we have demanded as much work as this one, we would need extra staff. It’s one thing after another with this plugin. Sooooooooo many bugs, and so unreliable.
I have now once again disabled all plugins, including the Pro plugin, and the calendar is nowhere to be found. This is so frustrating! Please advice.
