BartParticipant
Hi Geoff,
Great, it’s weird that’s the cause of the issue as we didn’t change these settings. But glad the calendar is finally back!
Might be interesting to consider blocking this combination of settings in the GUI.
Now, I notice our right sidebar is missing in the calendar. As that page is automatically generated I’m not sure where we can set this option?
kind regards,
BartBartParticipantThe link works for all plugins, including The Events Calendar, except the Pro plugin.

BartParticipantI tried this and it does not help. Any other suggestions?
BartParticipanthi,
I tried all these steps with no solution.
– I disabled all plugins (except the non-pro Events calendar plugin) and switched to the TwentySixteen theme. Then I get a “page not found” error in wordpress (not a 404).
– The Extra theme is the latest public version.
– There is no domain mapping active on the main site.
The individual event detail pages still load fine. But the calendar itself is missing.
What else can we try?
BartParticipantHi,
Ok, the previous thread confirmed it was a bug and would be fixed in the future. Also, I don’t understand the link with Elegant Themes in the error above. They seem totally unrelated to me?
About the release notes, events calendar pro is the only plugin were the link to release notes in the Plugin section of WP does not work. It works correctly for all other Event Calendar plugins, but not for the pro plugin. I guess it’s pointing to the wrong location in your configuration settings.
thanks
bartBartParticipantIt turns out we didn’t have the Elegant Theme Updater installed at all. We did have the Elegant Theme Support plugin (which was at version 1.0). I have now installed the Elegant Theme Updater 2.0 although I’m not sure if it’s needed as we we can update new theme versions without a problem.
Event Calendar Pro 4.4.4 keeps suffering from the same problem where it’s stated incorrectly our license has expired. The error referring Elegant theme is only visible when actually updating to a newer version so I’ll have to wait until a new version of the calendar has been released.
BartParticipantThey only have one version: 1.0

BartParticipantJust to let you know that version 4.4.2 does not fix the issue. However, what’s strange is that when trying to update to that version, I got the following error. Apparently there is some conflict with he Elegant Themes plugin required to update their plugins.
An error occurred while updating The Events Calendar PRO: Before you can receive product updates, you must first authenticate your Elegant Themes subscription. To do this, you need to enter both your Elegant Themes Username and your Elegant Themes API Key into the Updates Tab in your theme and plugin settings. To locate your API Key, log in to your Elegant Themes account and navigate to the Account > API Key page. Learn more here. If you still get this message, please make sure that your Username and API Key have been entered correctly
BartParticipantok, thanks for the update!
BartParticipantOk. I’ll look forward to it.
BartParticipantHi, you are right. That fixed the issue!
BartParticipantHi, I tried all that without solving it.
The message that the license is not valid and that a new version is available (while I do have the latest version) keeps popping up.
Additionally, our Event Aggregator license is (since reinstalling everything) not showing up as connected on the Events Calendar website. We do not notice any problem in our backend with that plugin, at least not with respect to license issues. The plugin itself does not work at all, as discussed here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/cannot-import-from-fb
BartParticipantHi,
Weird: this FB-event has the correct URL, and it’s showing up correctly in my browser. It’s also a Public Event.
I have now tried one-time FB-imports with 5 different events from various pages, and they all fail.
Events cannot be imported because we received an error from Facebook:
Also, when looking at the red exclamation marks for Scheduled imports, one of them reads: The import fail for an unknown reason. Please try again. If the problem persists, please contact support.
At the moment, the plugin doesn’t work at all and is useless. Is an update forthcoming?
BartParticipantBefore spending a lot of time debugging this, can you explain why the FB-event above is not a valid one? It looks very standard in my browser and is publicly available.
Also, why does the plugin not give a more detailed error. It seems there should be details following the colon but there aren’t.
Finally, we have a long list of scheduled imports. They use to work perfectly, until we switched from Facebook Events to the new Aggregator. Now, we have a long list of red exclamation marks. Can you confirm this is not normal? Or does this indicate no events where found?
