after updating to the latest versions of the events calendar plugins, our calendar is blank:
https://www.wtnschp.be/events/I have tried the following:
– disabling the plugins
– setting the slugs again
– re-saving the permalinksbut the page remains blank,
Can you assist?

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the calendar displaying a blank page. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic. There are a couple of things I would recommend trying:
- Please make sure you flush SiteGround’s cache
- Head over to Events -> Settings -> Display and try a different setting for Events Template to see if that helps
- Try temporarily switching over to a default theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if that helps
- Try turning on and off certain settings (checkboxes) from your domain mapping plugin to see if that helps.
Finally, can you tell me which version of Extra you are using ?
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

I tried all these steps with no solution.
– I disabled all plugins (except the non-pro Events calendar plugin) and switched to the TwentySixteen theme. Then I get a “page not found” error in wordpress (not a 404).
– The Extra theme is the latest public version.
– There is no domain mapping active on the main site.
The individual event detail pages still load fine. But the calendar itself is missing.
What else can we try?
September 7, 2017 at 9:01 pm #1346383Geoff B.MemberGood evening Bart,
Thank you for writing back.
I am sorry these steps did not yield better results.Something else worth trying is to change the main calendar slug under Events -> Settings -> General (e.g.: from events to calendar)
Make sure you save your permalinks after any of these changes. Otherwise you will likely get Page not found messages. One thing that is important to know is that there cannot be a “real” page that has the same slug as the main calendar.
This is because our calendar does not create a “real” page to display the calendar, but it still needs exclusivity on the slug.Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

I believe I found the cause of the issue.
By going in Events -> Settings -> Display, I noticed that the default view was set to list, but that the list view’s checkbox was unchecked.
I simply checked the box again and that brought your calendar back.Best regards,

September 12, 2017 at 2:39 am #1347900BartParticipantHi Geoff,
Great, it’s weird that’s the cause of the issue as we didn’t change these settings. But glad the calendar is finally back!
Might be interesting to consider blocking this combination of settings in the GUI.
Now, I notice our right sidebar is missing in the calendar. As that page is automatically generated I’m not sure where we can set this option?
kind regards,
BartSeptember 12, 2017 at 5:38 pm #1348339Geoff B.MemberGood evening Bart,
I am not exactly sure what happened there.
But the important thing is that this is fixed. That is a valid point for the GUI side of things. Thank you for the suggestion.
As per the sidebar not showing up, this has to do with the Events Template setting under Events -> Settings -> Display.
It was set to Default Events Template. Changing it to default page template solves the issue.
Best regards,
Geoff B.
