ParticipantHi, So, the plugin page (of our main site) now looks like this forever? (see screenshots)
It did not do this until now. Did this behaviour change? This only started after our previous license expired and we added a new one. And, up until now we had no trouble updating inline.
Also, why would error mention an outdated license?
Bart
ParticipantIt turns out, the problem is not resolved: removing the license key, disconnecting the license and reinstalling the plugin does not work. As soon as I add the license, the problem returns on the plugin page. Note that on the license tab, it’s indicated the key is valid.
Possibly of a importance: this is a multisite wordpress. The events plugins are not network activated and only used on the main site.
Bart
ParticipantNo, one time import gives this error:
Events cannot be imported because we received an error from Facebook:
Scheduled import gives the red exclamation mark and the error:
import failed
Also, while an import is scheduled, the interface looks a bit weird (probably unrelated)

ParticipantThat did not work.
Also, when trying to delete the plugin, and reinstalling it, the problem remained.
But after reinstalling it another time, it finally worked.Bart
ParticipantAfter further investigating, it seems the problem is not with a particular FB-event, but rather with all events. If I look into Scheduled Imports or History I see that all imports have a red exclamation mark next to them stating “import failed”

ParticipantI do notice that the Admin panel is quite a bit slower when The Event Calendar plugin (and its various add-ons) is enabled. Is this normal?
Bart
ParticipantI was able to fix the problem indeed 🙂 The issue was in the functions.php as a result of conflicts with Yoast.
Now, as we are moving to another server, how do we go about moving the licenses? They won’t validate on the new site, even if we remove them on the old site?
Bart
ParticipantThings I already tried
– disabling all plugins
– changing the language of the site back to English
– moving all (imported) events to the trash to check for some corruption
– resaving the Permalnks
– changing the slugs
– enabling the Pro plugin (without entering a valid key)none of these steps made any difference. What to do?

ParticipantAdditionally, how can we change the layout of that part. I would like the margins wider between the fields and below the button:

Bart
ParticipantThanks for the feedback. But the new version 4.1 that was just released does not hide the email/name fields anymore? They are shown immediately without the extra CSS code you specified above. Is this correct?
Also, all text appears in English. I assume translations will follow later?
Bart
ParticipantHi Geoff,
That did not work either. Actually, the info in that field was different than in your screenshot. It read: %%title%% %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%. Also, the title of the field is “Tribe events” and not just “Events” (don’t know if that’s relevant). But deleting it did not remove the “Archive” in the event titles.
Furthermore, when I decided to disable the Yoast plugin, the calendar went completely blank. I could not get it back. Re-enabling Yoast fixed that. What’s this about?
Thanks for your support
Bart
ParticipantNo, it used to work. But now it reverted back to the old situation. My guess is this happens together with the latest update to version 4.0.6
Any other suggestions?
Bart
ParticipantYes, that’s the one. It’s in Dutch as WordPress is set to Dutch. (and at the moment, I have added your code to the functions.php file)
Bart
ParticipantHi, that’s the plugin I’m using and there is no specific capability listed for the importer. So which capability should I enable?
