Allow Import for non-admins

Hi, our site has multiple authors (role: Author), and it should be possible for them to import Facebook events. However, they don’t have the Import option in their back-end panel. I have checked to enable that capability for them, but it doesn’t.

Does the plugin create its own proper Capability to import Facebook, and if Yes, what’s it called?
If not, what Capability is importing events associated with?

Hey Bart,

You are correct – authors do not have permissions to access the Facebook Importer. Check out the User Role Editor plugin in the WordPress repository for adding/editing permissions for your WordPress users.

Hi, that’s the plugin I’m using and there is no specific capability listed for the importer. So which capability should I enable?

Hey Bart,

Try selecting “Editor” role. Once you’ve done that, enable the role with “import” capabilities then save the settings. Let me know how it works out for you 🙂
