As we had several issues with our WP installation (including multiple Events Calendar issues) we decided to move to a new WP installation.
1) I installed the Events Calendar and it worked fine (I did not activate the Pro version yet as the license is still active on the live site)
2) I imported the events from the live site with the WP importer. The events are correctly visible in the backend.
3) But, the calendar main page is blank showing a 500 error. The individual event pages work fine.
How can we troubleshoot this? Should I try activating the Pro plugin or will that only make things worse?
Things I already tried
– disabling all plugins
– changing the language of the site back to English
– moving all (imported) events to the trash to check for some corruption
– resaving the Permalnks
– changing the slugs
– enabling the Pro plugin (without entering a valid key)
none of these steps made any difference. What to do?
I was able to fix the problem indeed 🙂 The issue was in the functions.php as a result of conflicts with Yoast.
Now, as we are moving to another server, how do we go about moving the licenses? They won’t validate on the new site, even if we remove them on the old site?
Since each forum thread is supposed to be limited to a single issue, I’m going to provide you this KB article —Â Moving your license keys — and close this thread. If that KB article doesn’t answer your question, please open a new thread.
Have a great Monday!
