MemberHi, Caleb!
I’m so sorry for the delay here, I was hopeful I could find something but have been unable to do so. We’re every bit as keen as you are to fix this but the reality is it can take a little while. As before, I’ve attached this topic to the corresponding bug ticket so we’ll be sure to notify you once the fix is available. Thanks again – we really support your patience while we work on this 🙂

MemberHello Daniel,
My apologies for the delay on this and I am so sorry to hear about the issue your having. I can understand the frustration.
To start, would you be so kind as to go through the steps in our ‘Testing for Conflicts’ guide here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
That will get us started on diagnosing the cause of the issue you’re having. Let me know what you find out!

MemberHi Caspar,
Thank you for using The Events Calendar, I can help with this!
Start by copying the default template into your theme as described in the Themer’s Guide here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
You can find that template in ‘the-events-calendar/src/views/default-template.php‘
After you’ve copied that over change Line 20 from
tribe_events_before_html();to
if( is_front_page() || tribe_is_month() || tribe_is_upcoming() || tribe_is_past() || tribe_is_day() || tribe_is_map() || tribe_is_photo() || tribe_is_week() ) { tribe_events_before_html(); }That should get you set up! Let me know if you need anything else, I’m happy to help!

MemberHello!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write to us about this! I agree with you that our Knowledgebase needs some improvement, feedback like yours goes a long way in helping us understand how it’s used and how it can be improved.
We have plans to begin reworking the documentation soon. It was a topic of discussion at our annual team retreat just a few weeks ago. As you said, it will take time but it is something we are committed to making happen.
Stay tuned!

MemberHello, Jose!
Thank you for using The Events Calendar, I can help you with this!
Oftentimes, as you add new plugins to your website, they add columns to your posts/events tables. That appears to be what has happened in your case here.
You can fix this by going to the ‘Screen Options’ tab at the very top of the page and unchecking any unnecessary columns. See the screenshot for clarification.

I hope this helps, let me know if you need anything else!

MemberHi, Robyn!
Thanks for using The Events Calendar!
We don’t currently have a way to manage this. I have the same issue as I use Pantheon for my personal sites as well. I get around it by moving the license around when there’s an upgrade available. I know that’s klunky but it’s workable as updates are not super-frequent. Don’t worry about the out install messages, they don’t affect the functionality of the plugin at all, just the ability to upgrade when there’s a new version available.
All that said, we are working on a new version of our licensing platform that should alleviate this issue. Stay tuned! I’m sure there will be an announcement when it happens as it will change things a bit.
Let me know if you have any other questions, I’m happy to help!

MemberHi Ryan,
I don’t have anything new to report at this time.I did log a ticket for this so it will be addressed at some point although I can’t say how long it will take.
It is worth noting that being able to click a link within the tooltip is not default behavior for the plugin (without modifications), it is meant to be strictly informational. I do understand the frustration though and we will be sure and update this conversation when a fix is made.
