December 23, 2013 at 11:12 am in reply to: Active blog menu issue with WooThemes Canvas theme #83356SandieParticipant
Thanks for the rapid response so close to Christmas. I thought since Canvas is such a widely used theme, I’d document the resolution I’ve now found in case it helps others.
Essentially, the reported problem occurs with the Canvas theme if you have selected a Settings > Reading > Front page > Posts page. Set that field to the *select* option. Now in the Pages administration area select your blog page and in the Page Attributes section ensure that you have selected to use the *Blog* template.
SandieParticipantI should have said that the website I selected in your ticket form isn’t running the current versions of your plugins. I’m testing those locally, and seeing the same problem that is actually apparent on the Live website albeit with the old versions.
SandieParticipantThanks for the response Barry. The CSS has certainly helped in that the issue is not as glaring, since it now only shows up as a lack of parent highlighting when within the Events pages. Can I assume that a fix should be in the next maintenance release, and do you have a ballpark date for that (I don’t know what schedule if any you work to)?
July 3, 2013 at 1:05 pm in reply to: EventsCal v3 + WooTickets doesn't work with WooThemes Definition #53020SandieParticipantThe site is using TEC 3.0 (not pro) and WooTickets 2.0.1. I previously left a message on the TEC Pro forum, because you don’t seem to have a TEC forum and the issue occurred when I upgraded to TEC 3.0, so it would not appear to be a WooTickets issue. I figured since I’m entitled to support on WooTickets, and I’m only running TEC because the site is using WooTickets, that would be ok (let me know if not).
If you go to the live URL referred to, you’ll see I’ve now implemented a workaround, in that I’ve hidden the elements I don’t feel should have been there in the first place.I’d still like to pursue an actual fix, because:
1). I don’t particularly want to have to potentially tweak CSS for version upgrades.
2). It doesn’t seem unreasonable to expect it to work out of the box with a WooTheme given it’s the way you implement the purchased WooTickets plugin.
Thanks for your help.July 3, 2013 at 6:57 am in reply to: Calendar/ events page not displaying with current theme [Foxt – Elegant Themes] #52904SandieParticipantI have a similar sounding issue. No matter what combination of settings I use, the events page is displaying the image from the homepage, then the events underneath that. So whilst it’s not the whole homepage, at first glance it certainly looks like it.
Deactivating all other plugins, including WooTickets, doesn’t resolve this. How do we resolve this please?
April 8, 2013 at 8:38 am in reply to: Adding a ticket via the WooCommerce Add Order option, increments stock number! #45192SandieParticipantWOW that’s crazy, but out of your control it appears.
Not really sure I understood your last paragraph, could you elaborate when you have time?April 5, 2013 at 7:09 am in reply to: Order cancelled and deleted, unable to remove attendee from event #44964SandieParticipantThanks for your response. What is your release cycle like, if you can’t be precise (dev. houses often aren’t on release schedules!) would you expect this to be resolved within say the next month or two? Thanks.
April 5, 2013 at 6:38 am in reply to: How do I activate the 'SOLD OUT' reference on the frontend? #44958SandieParticipantThanks for your quick response Barry. I think I failed to make myself clear. I have set up an event which is currently sold out (available tickets zero). It shows ‘Out of Stock!’. How do I make it show ‘SOLD OUT’ per your product page? ‘Out of Stock!’ is more of an inventory term, we want to use ‘SOLD OUT’.
April 5, 2013 at 6:35 am in reply to: Order cancelled and deleted, unable to remove attendee from event #44955SandieParticipantThe workaround appears to be to delete the entire order, and the entire event with associated tickets (including permanent deletion from trash). I haven’t reviewed the database, so can’t say whether this course of action has cleaned that up properly.
This is not acceptable for a live site, because:
(1) It’s not unreasonable to require a record of orders, including those that are paid and refunded. The above course of action destroys the order, when a cancelled order just needs to trigger a re-stocking of the inventory (add the ticket(s) back) and a removal from the attendee list.
(2) Deleting a whole event plus tickets is not feasible for an actual event where tickets have already been purchased. Please confirm whether you agree that this is an issue, and whether you will be addressing it. Many thanks.
April 5, 2013 at 6:26 am in reply to: How do I activate the 'SOLD OUT' reference on the frontend? #44953SandieParticipantI’m really puzzled by this product! Nothing seems to work as I would expect. I’m only changing inventory settings because I can’t find out how to enable the ‘SOLD OUT’ reference, and it seemed a logical thing to try!
My question is:
Your product page states there is a ‘SOLD OUT’ reference on the frontend, how do I activate it?SandieParticipantYes I saw that. The comment was on 6th March, when do you expect to finish considering this and make a decision? 🙂
Thanks for your testing suggestion. Having recently read a thread on this forum regarding testing and an inability to remove data, and given it’s a paid for product, and my intended use can hardly be considered unreasonable I’d prefer to know from the developers whether the proposed way forward is expected to work, and/or from the testers whether it actually works.
If merely setting the product to virtual via the WooCommerce product page resolves the issue why would you not want to inform your customer base of the solution?
SandieParticipantDoesn’t this just need to be set to ‘virtual’ by default? Just how many scenarios are there that don’t require this to be set to ‘virtual’? As an interim workaround, wouldn’t just manually amending the WooCommerce product to ‘virtual’ work, or does this create more problems?
SandieParticipantWhen is the next release due?
April 5, 2013 at 4:08 am in reply to: Order cancelled and deleted, unable to remove attendee from event #44940SandieParticipant‘stuck’
April 5, 2013 at 4:07 am in reply to: Order cancelled and deleted, unable to remove attendee from event #44939SandieParticipantI’ve now deleted the ticket type, and set up a new ticket type. The attendee remains stick in the check in/out list, with no way to remove them.
