Thanks, Lauren – I am seeing the error message with that account. Appreciate the quick response. I’ve logged this with the devs to fix for the next release, so we should have it in 1.0.1 (which at this point is less than a month out, and will be released the first week of July). Thanks for bringing this to our attention…and sorry, again, for the inconvenience until that patch is deployed. Glad to see you found a workaround in the interim.

Hey Paddy. It looks like the error message got mangled, can you upload it as a screenshot?

Thanks for the heads up on this, Vanessa. This is an interesting issue and I apologize for the inconvenience as we work to get it resolved. While addressing this is outside my area of expertise, I have asked our dev Jonah to take a look and see if he can identify what would be causing this. Can you confirm that it was not an issue before the latest round of Events/Community updates? Just want to triple check that no other plugins were updated at the same time or other changes made that we aren’t accounting for here…

Let me know if that’s the case. Otherwise Jonah will be able to take a look and respond shortly.

This is a solid suggestion, Jen – thanks for the heads up here. I’ve passed this on to Paul for review and it looks straightforward enough that we could include it in July’s maintenance release (which should be out in that first week of July). Let me know if you notice anything else along these lines or if we can help in any other way.

Hey Mike. Thanks for the note here. This is very bizarre and I can’t say anyone else has reported it previously. Have you checked whether this might be a conflict with the theme or another plugin? (Would be awesome if you could retest with all other plugins deactivated and, if necessary, the 2011 theme). I can understand if it’s not a testing environment where you’re able to do so. If that’s the case…mind sharing a link to a problematic recurrence pattern so I can try to recreate it on my end?

Thanks in advance. We’ll do what we can from there to get this resolved for you.

Thanks for the follow-up, Craig. Just wanted to confirm that while I’m not sure if Joyce saw this (our email notifications have been misfiring on the forum here), I’ve asked her to take a look when she hits the forums this evening. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience so far.

Gotcha. Thanks for the follow-up, Geoff. This one goes a bit over my head but I have asked our dev Jonah (far more well-versed in these matters than myself) to take a look and see what he can do to point you in the right direction here. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience so far.

Hey Calvin. Thanks for the note here, and my apologies for taking a few days to get you a response. I’m not sure how this thread slipped through the cracks but I apologized.

Have you updated to Community 1.0.1 and 2.0.7 of The Events Calendar? We set permalinks to automatically flush as a way to resolve this exact issue. Update, give it a go and let us know if your problem persists. In my testing it worked as it should.

    Thanks in advance!

Hi, John. We appreciate the follow-up, but there’s no need to get rude. Among thousands of customers, you’re one of the first to raise a serious complaint about the development timetable we work on. It seems like you’ve got a specific idea of the type of company you want to do business with and I’m confident such an organization exists out there.

I’m sorry we let you down. Best of luck with whatever solution you decide to go with down the road.

Daniel, you rock – thanks for making our day here. (And we apologize that said ‘day’ was a few after you posted the message initially). We are super pumped to hear you are using the plugin and it’s that type of support that keeps us going at this.

Thanks again for your support. We look forward to hearing your experiences as you keep using it (and any bugs, etc you may find). If you’d ever be interested in beta testing future releases or add-ons….shoot a note to pro /a/ tri.be and we’ll add you to the list of interested parties. And if we can do anything else in the interim, just holler.

Thanks for the interest, Beej – and for the words, Arjun. Arjun’s example is the first I’ve seen running the plugin (as we just launched it a few days ago), but as we get more examples flowing in I’m going to create a “Showcase” thread here similar to what we have for the main events plugin.

Meanwhile, anyone else who sees this thread is more than welcome to chime in too 🙂

Hey Lauren. Thanks for the heads up on this; it is definitely possible there is a bug pertaining to this. We had a problem in the pre-launch QA where names with spaces didn’t import but fixed that, which should have resolved this too.

Do you have a dashed username you can share with me to test? From there, we’ll get this patched up for July’s monthly maintenance release (which will be out the first week of next month). Thanks for bringing this to our attention and my apologies for the inconvenience until this is resolved.

Hey there Angela. Thanks for reaching out on this, and my apologies for taking a few days to get you a response here. I also apologize for the inconvenience you’ve faced so far.

Oddly, I was just able to import the three events on Vinnings’ Facebook page to my site without issue: http://d.pr/i/SbAB. I was running The Events Calendar 2.0.7 and the 1.0 version of the FB plugin.

Have you tried this since that initial run, to see if the problem persists with those same 3 events I’ve linked to in my screenshot above? It’s possible there was a momentary hiccup with the Facebook API at the time you tested that could account for this.

Hey Chris. Looking through the forum archives here it does seem like a few users have reported conflicts with WPtouch over the past few months. While we cannot guarantee this plugin will integrate nicely with everything out there, we definitely do try to help iron out conflicts that our code is responsible for when possible.

Do you have any contact information for the plugin dev, by chance? Enough users have asked about this that I think it’d be worth getting in touch with him to see if we can work out what’s up.

Hey Bob: it may help for limited code snippets (and I mean real limited) to use < code >…
