Hi Dustin. Thanks for reaching out here. The PRO version does include venue-specific frontend pages, where a user can narrow down from the broader category to view all events at a given venue (with a map of that location and pertinent address details). There isn’t a geo-search function at this point, but we’re working on that now since there has been somewhat significant demand for it. We don’t have a timetable on that front but it is on the roadmap for the near future.

That help? Let me know if not, and I’ll follow-up as needed.

Maurice: do you just mean getting the breadcrumb nav in there, so you see something like: Site Title –> Calendar of Events –> (Category name) atop the page?

Glad to be of service, Kim – thanks for the words! I see my colleague Barry is helping you out on the other thread, so you’re in good hands. I’m going to close this one out but please let us know what else we can do down the road. Thanks again for your support so far.

Hey Matthew – this is open again, per my email, and I’ve asked Tim to take another look. I’ve passed your email to him so he has context regarding your last note…and he should be able to take a look sometime tomorrow (Thursday) to try and point you in the right direction. Thanks for your patience so far.

Thanks Paula. Just a heads up that I am seeing this same issue and am looking into it further with the devs; I’m out much of this morning but will be back in touch this afternoon with a suggestion.

Can you confirm, in the interim, that updating to the 1.0.2 build didn’t have any impact? We improved the code quite a bit there so it’s possible this issue was fixed for you with that.

Hey Kim: I believe you should be set on this issue based on our email exchange, correct? Please let me know if I’m wrong there. Thanks!

I have received your email and it sounds like you’re all set here. Going to mark the answer and close this thread out accordingly.

Hi there Sheldon. Not yet; we got a bit delayed on Conference Manager working to patch issues on the already-live products, but I do expect the beta to kick off sometime over the next month or so. If you are interested in participating and aren’t on the list to do so already…drop me a note (pro /a/ tri.be) and I’ll get you hooked in. Cheers!

It depends; there are also reports of conflicts with All-in-one-SEO as well. Have you updated to 2.0.9? Did it resolve your issue, if so?

Hey Tom. Thanks for the follow-up here, and apologies that this one has slipped through the cracks until now. Not sure how that happened but I’m sorry and want to make sure I get you the responses needed. On these particular questions:

    1. You could do this, for sure, but you would have to find some way of bridging the gap to get those events exported from site A in a CSV format. At that point it’d just be a matter of exporting from site A and running through the CSV importer to get it into site B. That’s a pretty straightforward task. But, don’t you think WordPress’ built in import/export functionality could do this, too (if I understand the request)?
    2. Yup, Community can save venues/organizers and allows for pre-configured default venues/organizers as well…but you will need to be running Events Calendar PRO on the site, too, for these features to become available.
    3. On the frontend Community form, users have the ability to start typing the name of a venue to narrow down the results, like so; http://d.pr/i/mDdF. Notice how it filters between MY VENUES and AVAILABLE VENUES…that’s a feature we just added for 1.0.3, which is releasing this week.
    4. There’s actually a bug related to this in the system, which we’re working to get fixed for 1.0.4 – in theory, their changes should send the post back to DRAFT for you to review. But given how it’s operating with the current bug, once an event that was submitted as DRAFT goes LIVE, the original user no longer has the option to edit it at all.

Hope that helps – but if it didn’t, let me know and I’ll get you a response to clarify my points with haste. Cheers man.

Hi there Niklas. Thanks for your note on this, and for reaching out. That’s an awesome request…have you checked out our API documentation (https://theeventscalendar.com/tribe-settings-api/) to see if it points you in the right direction? My guess is that this may be a bit outside the scope of what the plugin can do, just because we haven’t ever had anyone else bring this up along the way, but let me know if that link doesn’t point you in the right direction and we can bring in a dev as needed. Thanks!

Hi there Rick. Thanks for the note here; I see you also sent this over via email, and have asked my colleague Casey – who is more technically-versed than I am, and can understand the meaning of these notices – to respond directly. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience/support so far.

Hi Coach. Thanks for the note here; no, the gap you’re seeing on the pre-sale question forum was specific to this past week…the team member who was monitoring these threads was unfortunately let go, and only today did we get to catching up on her threads. This forum – with the exception of the past couple weeks – is monitored daily during the business week.
For paying customers, the responses are usually even quicker since the Events Calendar PRO forum here on the site is monitored by a team of 3-4 support folks on a given day (whereas this pre-sale questions forum is just 1 person). There is generally no more than a 24-hour turnaround on inquiries posted there.

Hope that helps. If you have other questions, please let us know and we’ll do what we can to get an appropriate response.

Hey there Arno. Thanks for the note, and for your interest in updating to the 2.0 release. As you may be aware, when we left CodeCanyon after 1.3.3, we decided to hold off on releasing any further 1.x builds and switched straight to 2.0 when we re-launched at tri.be. Since the changes between 1.x and 2.0 were so substantial, this was a paid upgrade for all users. A 2.0 account is at this time required to hit the rest of the forums here on the tri.be site as well.

However, as an existing user, you are entitled to a 30% discount. If you are interested in updating (make sure you were on 1.3.3, as that’s the last release we had in the 1.x lifecycle and is most stable to update from)…just shoot an email to pro /a/ tri.be and we’ll get you what you need. Thanks again for your interest and support so far.

Hi Maurice. Thanks for the note here, and my apologies for taking a few days to get you a response on this end. Are you saying you just want the category name added to the breadcrumb navigation…or something more? When viewing a specific category loop on the frontend, the name of the category itself should already be in place…

Let me know…if you can clarify that point, I’ll do what I can to get you the appropriate response. Cheers and thanks for your patience so far.
