Hey Catherine. Jonah has actually since left the team to move on to pursue other opportunities, but I did want to follow-up here so we can get you sorted.

What could I help you with? Would you like me to share our list of freelance developers whom we can suggest to help you out? Is there a bit of documentation from either our docs of ACF’s that I can point you towards to get you sorted here? Let me know either way and I’ll do my best to help.

Hey locallive! Thanks for the note here. Have you tried using a custom list of countries, as per this field (http://d.pr/i/5bHq) under Events -> Settings -> Default Content? Let me know if that won’t work or if I’m misunderstood here.

Thanks for the follow-up, fenoco. I’ve marked your newest reply as the answer 🙂

It sounds like you’re all set for now, but if you do need anything down the road, don’t hesitate to let us know. Going to close out this thread though.

Major thanks for the assist here, snorton.

Cynthia: thanks for bearing with us. The complicated CSS has been an overwhelming bit of feedback we’ve received from the community since launching, and we’re looking at ways to rectify that now 🙂 Thanks for being vocal about it and stay tuned as we announce our findings on that end.

Closing this thread for now, but if anyone needs anything else, let me know.

in reply to: The Events Calendar Not Compatible With "IE7 Fix" Plugins #58405

Hey there smallmammothdesign. Thanks for the note here and for reporting this; while we can’t guarantee integration with every plugin out there, we’re definitely down to try our best to help get folks sorted. My concern here is that the plugin you mention looks quite outdated. It’s this one, right? http://wordpress.org/plugins/ie7-js/ It looks like it’s been more than 2 years (and a number of WP versions) since that was updated.

Unfortunately if that is indeed the plugin, I’m not sure how much we’d be able to do to integrate it – all our testing was done on WP 3.5 and forward, which it looks like that plugin doesn’t even know exists, so there could still be a number of conflicts we have no way to account for and which indeed may be more in WP’s realm than our own plugins.

Have I misunderstood the plugin in question? Is there a newer/stable version that is available elsewhere, which we could test against on our end? I want to do my best to get you sorted here but as it stands it looks like our options are fairly limited. Let me know.

Hey Billysob. Thanks for the note here and for explaining your end goal. While this is a bit outside my area of expertise, I will say that the “Include events in main blog loop” feature should indeed do what you’re aiming for: show your events posts in the loop alongside the rest of your blog content. Are you seeing something different?

Hey splurgin. Thanks for the note here, and my apologies for both the delayed reply and for the inconvenience you’ve faced here. Are you using the “”Include events in main blog loop” setting, by chance? If so we have a known bug in the current release where – with this setting enabled – the WooCommerce storefront is broken. Does that sound familiar to your issue or is yours something different?

Let me know and I’ll do what I can to get you sorted here. Thanks for your patience so far.

Hey Victoria. Jonah’s actually left the team as of last Friday, but I’m going through to catch up on his threads and wanted to take point on this one to drive it home for you. My apologies for the delay in getting you a reply so far.

Quick request: we released a minor batch of updates that changed how events load and MySQL’s behavior a bit, just earlier today. These were Events 3.0.3 and PRO 3.0.5. Any chance you’ve been able to apply those updates to see if they improve the load time?

Hey there onelittlemoose. Thanks for the follow-up; I’m not sure if Barry saw your reply here, so I’ve pinged him directly and made this a top priority to address. My apologies for the delay but know he’ll be in touch soon.

Hi Tara! Thanks for the note here, and no problem at all about the question. Let me in fact apologize on my end for taking so long to get you a reply here. Normally we strive for a 24-hour response window and we failed you on that end.

It is sadly impossible for us to tell exactly where the customizations lie, if you don’t have access to the original files. But what about FTPing into the site and viewing the source files themselves that way? You could even re-download them to access them and open/review as you see fit. If you have a staging environment or test site to work off, you can take as long as you need testing/checking your customizations before deploying the 3.0 release to the production environment.

MIght that help? It’s worth noting that you definitely can update, in terms of technical limitations, so long as you’re running at least WordPress 3.5 (which it appears you are). But if you do apply the update directly to the production site it will almost certainly mess with the appearance.

Hope that helps. Let me know if not, or if I can elaborate at all, and I’ll get you what you need. Thanks again for your patience so far.

Hey there dlehrner: how’s life? Thanks for the note and my sincere apologies that we’ve taken longer than normal to get you a reply here. My gut tells me this is related to the JetPack plugin. Have you tested deactivation of that to see if the issue persists? I know we’ve had a few reports of odd inconsistencies there and this could definitely be related. Let me know if so.

When you say “worked on the first day”….is there anything else that might have changed since that day? Whether it was an update to our plugin, to a different plugin or to your theme? Trying to make sense on our end of what could have changed.

Hey there cashoefman. Thanks for the note, and my apologies that we’ve taken until now to get you a reply. I wanted to follow-up to make sure we got you sorted on this end.

I am indeed seeing the problem at the link you provided there. It looks like this is a custom theme you’ve built? Let me know if I’m wrong there. Otherwise I do have a few suggestions that should help get this sorted:

    * First, try updating to the newest builds that just came out today (3.0.3 core / 3.0.5 PRO). They contained a number of optimizations that should improve overall stability and might address this right off the bat.
    * Switch to different template + stylesheet settings for the calendar under Events -> Settings -> Display. There are a number of combinations available there and users often find that one of them meets their needs.
    * Make sure that both the Map settings for the overall calendar are enabled, and that the live Javascript filtering isn’t impacting (you can test this by simply toggling it on/off and refreshing the frontend to test).
    * Test whether this is a plugin or theme conflict. I notice you already mentioned testing against other plugins, but what about the theme? Does this persist on a stock Twenty Twelve install?

Let me know how that goes and I’ll do my best to get you sorted from there. Cheers.
