ParticipantHi,
I was using the IE7.JS plugin to fix some IE7 issues, but when the plugin is activated, it looks as though no CSS files are loaded on any of the Events page templates in IE7 or IE8 — not the Events Calendar CSS nor the Theme CSS. (Well, they are loaded initially, but as soon as the plugin kicks in, all styling disappears).
The same thing happens with other similar plugins – e.g., WP IE Enhancer and Modernizer.
Any ideas on how to fix the conflict?
Thanks!

MemberHey there smallmammothdesign. Thanks for the note here and for reporting this; while we can’t guarantee integration with every plugin out there, we’re definitely down to try our best to help get folks sorted. My concern here is that the plugin you mention looks quite outdated. It’s this one, right? http://wordpress.org/plugins/ie7-js/ It looks like it’s been more than 2 years (and a number of WP versions) since that was updated.
Unfortunately if that is indeed the plugin, I’m not sure how much we’d be able to do to integrate it – all our testing was done on WP 3.5 and forward, which it looks like that plugin doesn’t even know exists, so there could still be a number of conflicts we have no way to account for and which indeed may be more in WP’s realm than our own plugins.
Have I misunderstood the plugin in question? Is there a newer/stable version that is available elsewhere, which we could test against on our end? I want to do my best to get you sorted here but as it stands it looks like our options are fairly limited. Let me know.

ParticipantHi Rob,
Thanks for the response. The second plugin I mention is newer:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-ie-enhancer-and-modernizer/And there’s also http://wordpress.org/plugins/selectivizr/ which to be honest I haven’t tested but as it works the same way I assume it’ll also cause problems.
I’ve ended up ditching the plugins and finding other solutions so this isn’t an immediate concern for me — however these plugins are very handy for fixing a lot of IE7 bugs, and the conflict is a weird one, so someone else might come across this one day as well!

MemberHey again smallmammothdesign. This is a solid point; we’re actually based on a couple of unrelated bug reports refactoring some of how the CSS files load (and as that’s partially being done with the feedback of our resident JS expert, I’m expecting it’ll be done with these situations in mind).
If you find this becomes an immediate issue for you again, please let us know and we’ll see what further help we can offer up. Likewise if we see additional reports of this and an increased demand for it in the community, we’ll prioritize accordingly to get users what they need.
Thanks for your patience and sorry I didn’t have anything to share in the short-term. If you need anything else in the future please don’t hesitate to let us know.
