MemberHey billysob. You raise a solid point in your follow-ups here; while this is getting a bit outside my technical area of expertise, know that this is in the queue for our developer Samuel to take a look so he can try to advise you ASAP. Thanks again for your patience so far.
Rob
MemberThanks again for confirming, Harold. We do indeed have intended improvements coming in the next release for the broader issue Samuel mentioned, and have had reports of the Jetpack conflict as well. We are looking at those for a subsequent release – but if you’ve not logged a separate thread for that issue I would encourage doing so as well.
Thanks to everyone for the heads up and for their patience so far.

MemberHey again Splurgin. Just wanted to follow-up here to check whether you saw my reply.
Rob
MemberHey there again dlehrner. Just wanted to follow-up on our end here to see if you saw Samuel’s last note? If you’d prefer to send the theme to our support inbox, where we can route it appropriately to Sam, that’s pro /a/ tri.be. Send it over with a link to the thread and we’ll take it from there. Thanks!
Rob
MemberHey again cashoefman. Just wanted to check in here to see if you’d seen Samuel’s last note? Let us know if you’re still having issues or if we can close out this thread. Thanks!
Rob
MemberAwesome to hear that got you sorted, Michael! I’m going to mark the answer and close up the thread here, but if we can do anything else in the future, just ask.

MemberAwesome to hear that got you sorted, Susan! Thanks for confirming as much. I’m going to go ahead and close this thread but if you need anything else, please don’t hesitate to let us know. Thanks again for your patience and support so far.

MemberHey Jennifer. While Jonah has left the team, I wanted to let you know that we have checked this out and in what limited time we had, confirmed that there are indeed some incompatibility issues. We’re working to stabilize the plugin on our end first, but know that once we get through the current crop of bugs on our radar we’ll be shifting our focus towards integrating with popular themes + plugins. I’ve got this on the latter’s list.
I realize that’s not a particularly immediate solution, for which I apologize. But please know this is on our radar and will be prioritized based on how much user demand we see for it. If there are any other questions that you have or problems you encounter with The Events Calendar / PRO, please do let us know.
Rob
MemberAh shoot, this one slipped through the cracks as well. I apologize we’ve dropped the ball a few times already for you here wiredimpact. Know that when it comes time for a renewal (or if you just want another plugin that you don’t currently have) you’re more than welcome to take it on us as a good faith gesture. We’re sorry to keep you hanging.
For the first issue: does this still occur in Twenty Twelve, or is it specific to your theme? As for the second, the AJAX actually doesn’t run in IE8. So the spinner’s background shouldn’t be showing up and I’m not sure why it is (though I’m unable to recreate locally).
I see the site URL you provided here is a local environment; any chance you’ve got a live link where we could check this out in action?
Rob
MemberSteve: you totally can style the widget. This thread should point you in the right direction – not for the specific customization, but how to make it to the list widget – but let me know if you’re still stuck after reviewing it: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-widget-list-styling/#post-55801. Cheers!
Rob
MemberHi there Steve. Thanks for the note here. I see according to your post you’re using the 3.0 release. Have you upgraded to the latest builds (3.0.3 of The Events Calendar / 3.0.5 of PRO), and tested whether this issue persists?
It’s also worth noting that you’ll want to test the different stylesheet + template options under Events -> Settings -> Display. As you make changes they will impact the frontend appearance, and the styling particularly will impact how well that events bar displays.
Let me know if you’re still stuck from there and we’ll do our best to get you sorted.
Rob
MemberJust a heads up that this was not included in yesterday’s minor maintenance release, but should be in the next one (which will be more substantive than just the couple bug fixes deployed yesterday).
Rob
MemberLet us know how it goes, Nini. If you can confirm one way or another we can mark the answer/close the thread accordingly 🙂 Cheers.
Rob
MemberHey Christopher. I realize it’s taken us longer than it should have to get you a reply here, and I really apologize for that. We should be able to point you in the right direction here and I’m following up with the team now. We’ll do our best to get a reply in as timely a fashion as possible.
Thanks for your patience so far.

MemberHey there rduncan10. Happy to try and help you out here; out of curiosity though, what are you using the “-1” for?
