Can’t get rid of sidebar

So, I can’t seem to get the Events Calendar Pro plugin not to put the sidebar in on the events.
My config.php (RootsTheme) includes http://pastebin.com/BAkPRHSZ which is designed to control what templates the sidebar is applied to. If I choose to apply template-events (the page-template I set up) to any standard page it comes back full-width, but not any of The Events Calendar’s pages.

Any thoughts?

I’m not familiar with Roots (and I’m not sure many of the team are) so there could a limit to how much support we can offer here.

However! We do have a number of conditionals that you might use in the config array that could be useful here or you might even combine them into a single function to essentially form a new “conditional tag”:
